Homeward Studio An independent interiors & upholstery studio supplying a beautiful range of fabrics & house paints from Edward Bulmer Natural Paints.

We offer a colour consultancy & upholstery service & sell a carefully chosen collection of beautiful goods for your home. We have a selling space within Odeon Antiques in Leek which is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday only. We also sell online through our website and are regulars at Treacle Market in Macclesfield and other fairs and markets around Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. Our

new and vintage homeware is sourced from antique fairs, markets, craft shows and open studios or bought direct from designers and creators. One half of our interiors shop is a growing range of new, handmade pieces from a community of craftspeople. These items are consciously made, always considered and never rushed. The other half is made up of timeless functional vintage items, such as enamelware and hand-dyed vintage French linen. We pick up useful everyday items like Dutch enamel bread bins and vintage bathroom fittings whenever we spot them and we restore and reupholster vintage chairs by classic British furniture brands such as Ercol and Ben Chairs. We look for good materials and well-made objects that have substance, style and stories to tell – we opt for quality and authenticity over fads, fashion and trends. We like to think that everything at Homeward Studio is honest, thoughtfully designed and made with care. We use natural, ethical and recycled materials wherever possible and often choose natural dyes, wool, linen, cotton and screen or block printed woven fabrics.

BUT.....IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.....

As we approach back to work/back to school time our thoughts naturally turn to inside and home...

If you need help figuring out a room scheme, new paint colours or fabric choices for curtains and blinds please get in touch VERY soon.

📣This is me giving you plenty of notice so we can all be organised ! 📣

Due to a busy Autumn/ Winter season where you'll find me and my new stock out at lovely seasonal events I have to declare a cut off point to take anymore design projects on.

So, as long as we've confirmed your choices and got your paint & fabric orders in during
w/c October 19th we can leave the rest up to our marvellous curtain makers & upholsterers to do the rest for delivery before ...🎄.... 🤫 not saying the word out loud just yet!!

So please be aware that the shop & studio in Leek will be closed between the 9th November to 6th December as I'll be set up and trading Haddon Hall MERCATUM nr Bakewell in Derbyshire for those 4 weeks. Its a gorgeous festive event and tickets are on sale right now!!

I will also, as if by magic, be at all the treaclemarket s during this busy time too. Its going to be busy!!

And meanwhile lovely new bits and bobs arrive in the shop .... Handmade pottery, 100% linen teatowels in new colours, trivets, enamel utensils jars, Duralex green glasses back in stock, new duralex coffee mugs...more clay beasties from Amos, top up of natural cork placemats.....

If you are after something truly bespoke for your home we work with artists & makers who are happy to explore the options with us.

We couldn't quite find the right pattern in the right colour for our clients who are creating a new guest bedroom and sitting room.

We really liked the scale, lightness and space in Jessie De Salis F**a print, nice big leaf shapes on a lovely natural linen background.

We sent her a fabric sample of the sofa and bed along with suggested wall colours and Jessie spent time mixing up a brilliant selection of colours for us to work with.

I'm yet to look at these with our client but what a lovely project to be working on!
