A little piece of family history I'm incredibly proud of.

Many people in Leeds will know the name George Corson as one of the city's greatest Victorian architects. What many don't know is that he was my great great grandad.

His work helped shape the Leeds we know today, including: 🏛️ Leeds Grand Theatre 📚 Leeds Central Library 🌳 The layout of Roundhay Park ⚰️ Lawnswood Cemetery

More than 100 years later, his buildings are still standing and being enjoyed by thousands of people every day.

As someone who works in construction myself, it's inspiring to think that craftsmanship and creating something built to last has been part of our family's story for generations.

The question is. Can any of you see the resemblance of the 4 generations after him.

A legacy to be proud of.

Come and take a fly-through of our completed Manchester project.
A full re-roof of this beautiful 1910s school, replacing the original Westmorland slate with Sandtoft Cassius clay tiles to retain the traditional slate appearance while meeting the architect's specification.
This project involved countless detailed areas and hours of precision to ensure every element was completed exactly as designed. We're proud to say the contract has now been passed, signed off, and handed over.

Just a two-man team delivered this entire project in just 12 weeks, despite losing two weeks to poor weather. A fantastic achievement and a credit to the craftsmanship, dedication, and attention to detail they showed throughout.

The famous saying: "It must be nice being in the sun all day."
Let's break that down...
No shade. Heavy tiles still need carrying. Clay tiles absorb the heat and turn into a giant grill. Your feet are burning, your neck is roasting, and your head feels like it's on fire.
The sun is great when you're laid on a beach relaxing.
When you're a roofer working on a roof all day?
Not so much. ☀️🥵
Respect to everyone grafting through the heat while the job still needs doing. 💪
