On Thursday, we tidied up our beds in Aysgarth and planted out- pak choi, spring onions and kale.

We also stocked up our seed library with fennel seeds 🥰😎

Last week we had lots of fun maiking lavender bath bombs, bath soak bags and lavender sugar 💜

We will be running these sessions throughout the winter months as there isn't much gardening to do.

Great session yesterday!!
We potted on pak choi, kale and coriander 🥬🌱
And harvested tomatoes, tomatillos, basil and our first ever cucamelon 🤤

Yesterday we visited CATCH, Leeds in Harehills. Had a lovely tour of their amazing site. Which includes polytunnels, llamas, alpacas, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens.
They made us chickpea curry and homemade banana muffins, which were delicious.
Amazing to see a project like this, fully funded and built by donations and volunteers, helping youngsters, have a safe space to hang out, learn new skills and be part of something truly epic!!

Busy session yesterday! We planted lots of different seeds to grow over the upcoming months, tried homegrown chillies- that Charlie bought in, washed down with lemon balm and lemon verbena teas 🌶🍵

We then braved the rain and went outside to harvest more tomatoes, salad leaves, greek basil, a few strawberries, a beetroot and a tomatillo 🍅🍓🌱

Our seed library has also been topped up with new seeds 🤩😊

What a difference a week makes! 🌦 no need for watering yesterday!

We had a brilliant session! 🥰

We harvested (and ate) lots of tomatoes, a couple of tomatillos, a courgette and a tiny carrot 🥕😄

We planted out Kale and spring onions.

We had a go at ground and air layering on our honey suckle. Which involved scraping bark from an older branch and wrapping it in in some soil, to try and encourage new root growth.

Then we propergated some semi ripe rosemary, dipping the stalks in rooting powder and placing them on the outskirts of pots 😁
