A few know I’ve been fight Leeds BMW for a year, to start with I was just trying to get my car serviced, have the EGR recall done. They cancelled my appointment at short notice, I then rang, emailed nearly everyday for 12 weeks to try get my car in. I had to cancel our family holiday, was terrified to drive my car.
Last august it flashed up low oil, drivetrain error. Leeds took my car as an emergency. I stressed the importance of checking it with a fine tooth comb as my daughter needed to get to hospital appointments. I got the car back on around the 11th, 12th August.
Beginning of sept the car was consuming fuel, losing power. They claimed to do a remote login to check for errors IVE BEEN TOLD ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO ON A 2015
17th Sept it went for MOT
27th Sept went back to my MOT station for genuine Bmw front send pricing. Whilst there I asked for it to be plugged in, the car showed inlet manifold error, swirl flaps which I was told by another BMW owner it’s part of the EGR failure. Bmw assist recovered my car the same day took it to Leeds, Geldard Road
I was of course assured it was all going to be fine, they would sort it out.
For 8 months I heard nothing, I’ve had 8 different loan cars which I was grateful for until they accused me of damaging a car, THEY DIDNT ASK ME THEY TOLD ME I DAMAGED IT! even though at every collection, drop off they failed to do a walk round, have me sign anything despite me asking if I needed to sign. One car came with a flat tyre, another with a chunk out of the rear tyre, low washer fluid, no fuel. DO NOT BUY A DEMO CAR FROM THIS SITE.
It’s now been going on over a year. I’ve spent the last 6 weeks battling them head to head as they want me to take my car home. Apparently it has a blown engine, due to bottom engine bearing, but it’s safe to drive home with my kids in because a tech signed it off as safe!!!!
The car engine is now making a hissing, tapping noise, that noise was not present ever in my care. Loads of damage to the interior, exterior.
As of next week they will be charging me £25 per day storage. They refuse to give me any paperwork for the car to show me what they have done. The service manager Sam lied saying the car was recovered because of a noisy engine. Yet I have previous emails from him clearly saying I did not report a noise because it didn’t have one. The car was recovered after a recall due to a fault code showing inlet manifold.
Also the service report did not have the front spring rubber on that a different branch reported at last service, which I did not fix because it was a rubber cover. So do they really give the car the service, attention they claim at such a high cost!
The picture below is just one bit of damage they have done to my car, dints all over my seat, scratches, damage to my cebtre console. My front bumper has a chunk missing from it, scratches all over my body work. I was told they would repair this, I have it in writing but now I have to prove it 🤔
I’ve got a brand new 2 series on my drive, it’s not moved for over a week because it has rear light failure, it’s dangerous. Have Leeds phoned me to try resolve or have they just threatened me with the police? 🤯
My story is much more complexed than this. I can’t say a single positive thing over the last two months. I can say I’m not giving up on my car so they best buckle up! They have made my life hell!
Just to add this is a 335d with low milage, full main dealer service stamp it’s never wanted for nothing. Just had new discs, pads to front prior to this happening.
This is just one picture of damage they caused to my car whilst in there care, no plastic sheet on the passanger seat just my engine casings causing dints, scratches to my leather seat, centre console. The car also has a huge chunk out of the bumper, scratches all over. Prior to it been in there care it had some stone chips, scratched alloys, there is also a fresh chunk out of my alloy. They agreed to send the smart repair team in, I have this recorded, in writing. Now I have to prove they caused this damage. THE PICTURE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!
I was going to keep my mouth shut till I proved the exact failure but the cars history age should mean it doesn’t have a catastrophic failure, it didn’t miss a beat before they got involved. They won’t give me any paper work but I have today sent a freedom of information request.
