The owner of this garden wanted a combination of form and function, so we created a design that incorporated the features they wanted without making the garden feel too cluttered or overwhelming.

Today's video features James and Mariusz installing silver birch composite decking from . The decking utilises clips to fasten the boards to the frame for easy and secure installation, providing a flawless, screw-free finish while safeguarding the boards from damage.

These hidden fasteners slot perfectly into the grooved edges of composite boards, automatically spacing them and allowing for natural material expansion. This method ultimately boosts the deck's longevity and structural integrity, too. This is not an ad, by the way - we just really like them!

This garden needed completely reworking, but the owner wanted to keep the existing trees, and have the overall space be quite low maintenance. With a blend of paving, grass, and raised planting beds, they can maximise relaxation time, while still being able to keep the garden neat and grow things too. 🫜🥬🥦🌼🏵️🌺

We adore the natural stain and patterns in this stone, they really turn what could be a simple patio into something dynamic and interesting. While we always take care to walk on freshly laid paving stones with soft feet and socks, we still like to give it a power wash to ensure it looks absolutely pristine for you!

It might seem like a simple step, but getting the slurry consistency just right is essential to a well-built garden that withstands the elements.

This mix was used to bond porcelain tiles to the upstand along the side of the patio. The slurry needs to be wet enough to work with, while still tacky enough to hold the tile firmly in place until it sets and dries.

These stone steps are the perfect addition to this space, and contrast perfectly with the fresh, green lawn. Like many UK gardens, it was sloped and uneven, so creating levels expands the useable space and is much more aesthetically pleasing.
