Proof that our products really do work! 🔥

A serious fire broke out on a construction site, but thanks to the correct installation of the ARC® Masonry Party Wall System, the fire was successfully contained to a single plot. It only breached into the neighbouring unit at the very last possible point of crossover.

According to the local fire brigade, the fire took over 3 hours to extinguish due to its severity, with crews battling it externally for the full duration.

This incident serves as a powerful demonstration of how ARC’s Masonry Party Wall System performs in real-world conditions.

Protecting people, protecting places, slowing fire spread, and delivering peace of mind.

Fortunately, the homes were still under construction, so no one had yet moved in. But it’s a clear reminder that fire protection starts at build stage, and it really does matter ❤️

We don't usually talk about heatwaves.

But, bear with us...because this is more relevant than you might think ☀️

During a heatwave, the same principles that keep cold air out in winter work in reverse. A well insulated, thermally efficient building keeps heat out too. Fewer cold spots means fewer weak points in the building envelope, and a more stable internal temperature whatever the weather is doing outside.

But here's the bit that really matters during extreme heat.

In a heatwave, the risk of fire goes up.

Dry conditions, overheating appliances, increased use of fans and cooling equipment. The likelihood of a fire starting increases significantly...

And when it does, the buildings that give people the best chance are the ones where passive fire protection is doing its job quietly in the background.

Sustainability is always included in the design stage when we're creating our products.

Every product we create starts with questions 🤔

Our Eaves Insulator is a great example of this. It reduces heat loss in homes, helps tackle damp and mould, and cuts energy use.

Our newer retrofit version brings the same benefits to older buildings too.

Ryan plays a key role in embedding sustainability into the heart of our product range... and his passion for it goes way back.
