Had another search through the JS Miller archives and found a business ledger for 1936-7 to 1946-7(Notice the War building Programme and start of the war) . Some of the figures don’t seem believable in today’s monies . Not many present day companies working in construction have the history of JSMiller . All the current staff are proud to be working for a company with such a great heritage in the thermal insulation trade . Think I’ve got some old wage books from the 1930’s . Need to dig those out 😁.

I would like to wish a happy 41 years at J S Millers to Kay Mellor . Been some journey and you fully deserve everything you have achieved . Takes some doing working that long in this trade as a woman . Thanks for being the person you are over the last 40odd years . Don’t know where we’d be without her. She definitely deserves a medal 🏅🙌👏👏

Well that's another year chalked off. 47 Years at J S Millers . Doesn't seem 2 minutes since I walked into the office at Hyde Park , Leeds on the16th October 1978. Worked with some great people in that time. Many no longer with us unfortunately . Like to say I've enjoyed every minute , but its a hard game to be in and not getting any easier. Lets see if I can get to 50 Years eh! ☺️
