We just secured planning for a project that required every bit of our technical grit and creative “listening.”
Navigating the Wetherby Conservation Area is never about taking the easy route. It’s about respecting the historic stone soul of a property while having the confidence to introduce high-performance, contemporary materials like Accoya and engineered glulam.

These watercolors aren’t just pretty pictures; they are the result of a coordinated strategy to solve a complex wayfinding challenge. We’re removing an unsympathetic later extension to reveal the building’s original form and engineering a new architectural “rhythm” that guides you home.

Whether we are crane-lifting glass for a feature in The Times or securing a one-off planning win for our local clients, the we are _ standard of detail remains the same.

We don’t just draw houses. We engineer the bridge between the heritage of the past and the vision for your future.

Meticulous by design.

We’ve been busy sorting the shelving in our new studio. Nearly all in, but like any good project, the last 5% is where the magic (and the most meticulous work) happens.

Technical clarity isn’t just a service we sell, it’s how we operate. Whether we’re engineering a crane-lifted roof light for a feature in The Times or designing national expo sites for industry leaders, the standard remains the same.

We’ve traded the boring, traditional “practice” model for a creative collective that actually listens.

The Local Studio Experience.

Meticulous. Rooted in Morley. Ready for your vision.

National standards. Local soul. 🥂

We were incredibly proud to see our Roundhay project featured in The Times. A month on and we’re celebrating the architectural “engine” that made it possible for the wonderful kitchen by

The Design Logic:

Navigating a Conservation Area requires more than just a set of drawings; it requires technical grit. We designed a modern extension that dissolves the boundary between the home and the garden.

Bringing the outside in: Windows were meticulously planned to align perfectly with the landscape, creating a seamless transition.

Sculpting with light: The seamless roof light, craned into place as a single piece, was engineered to throw natural light into the very back of the deep-plan kitchen.

One with nature: The living area is set directly into the garden, turning the architecture into a frame for the trees outside.

We’re small, agile, and meticulously technical. This feature isn’t just a win for us; it’s proof that the “Studio” model, staying true to the creativity we were moulded for in education, works.

Even The Times couldn’t help but try to fill in our blank (printing us as ‘We Are Architecture Studio’). But we’re sticking with the _. Because we aren’t a traditional practice, we’re a studio built for the space in between.

we are _ Proven. Purposeful. Architecture without the ego.

“Why am I still cold?!” 🥶

It’s the question everyone is asking today. You’ve turned the radiators up and the windows are shut, yet there is still that persistent chill creeping in from the corners.

Most people blame draughty windows, but the real culprit is often invisible: Thermal Bridging.

Think of your house as wearing a thick woolly jumper, but with a massive gap at the waist. In standard British homes, heat doesn’t just leak it tunnels through the solid parts of your building, like where your walls meet your floor.

We call this a Cold Bridge. It’s a secret highway for heat to escape, leaving you with cold spots, high bills, and eventually, damp corners.

The fix isn’t just more insulation, it’s about closing the Thermal Envelope. By designing a continuous skin around the building, we break those bridges and keep the warmth exactly where it belongs.

We’re obsessed with the science behind the sketch. We want to help you understand the why behind your home’s performance so you can make better decisions for your space.

Send us a message. Whether it’s a kitchen that finally fits your life or an extension that brings it all together, we are here when you’re ready.

The contractor said it couldn’t be done!

When The Times featured our extension, the client made one thing clear: this rooflight was everything. And it almost didn’t happen, the original contractor had told them it was impossible.

But we knew better.

This wasn’t just about adding a glass roof. It was about understanding how northern light needed to pe*****te deep into the existing building. How natural illumination could work year-round. How the garden and interior could have a conversation through carefully considered glazing.

So we found an installer who could achieve what we’d designed. Who understood the vision.

The result? Exactly what we intended.

This is architect-led design. It’s not about compromise, it’s about persistence, vision, and understanding how buildings should feel, not just look.

Design is far more than adding space. That space needs to work. To breathe. To transform how you live.

Budget doesn’t determine quality of thought. Great design comes from knowing what matters and refusing to settle.

Planning an extension? Let’s talk about what’s possible.
