Amazing Christmas Display at the Ivy in London.
Really proud to have been part of the team working on this display for EPH (Event Prop Hire). Division X Creative produced the 3D scans for the Pheasant, Goose and Monkey on our Faro Design ScanArm from the supplied desktop models. The team at EPH then took the scans and manufactured the models on their large format CNC machines in high density polystyrene, the largest being the Pheasant at 4.2M long.!The models were then assembled and finished in their art department before being installed in the heart of London by the EPH Creative team.

Large Scale 3D Printed Wall Art.
KB ARCHITECTS LTD approached and worked closely with Division X Creative to design and deliver this bespoke piece of art as part of their architectural concept design. This 3D printed sculpture was formed as part of the main feature wall of the new Remedi clinic, in Embassy Gardens. London. KBA saw this key interior feature as an opportunity to utilise this innovative and flexible technology to deliver a large scale, beautifully executed design statement, seamlessly merged into the context.
The iconic and elegant piece was designed to represent beauty and time and its impact upon the mind and body as represented by the model ‘Artemis’.

Is This the Most Realistic 3D Print Ever?
Well, it certainly looks pretty good to me. 3D Printed by Stratasys and on show at the Rapid+TCT exhibition in Detroit. Not only does it look realistic it apparently also feels realistic as certain parts including the nose were printed in full colour using the Agilus range, a flexible polyjet material.

This week’s selection is the incredibly realistic full color head by Stratasys.

Does 3D Printing Meet Your Expectations?

This is a really interesting question..

We speak with a lot of people who say 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing will never replace their existing production methods for various different reasons. Some examples are, the quality is not good enough, the materials are not strong enough or the sizes are too small. Yet there are 3D Printing machines and materials out there that solve all these problems.

What is stopping you using this technology or does 3D Printing tick all the boxes?

How 3D printing is changing the way we design furniture.

With 3D printing designers can create bespoke joints and details at just the click of a mouse, these can be static or kinetic and in a range of different colours & materials.

Creating these joints and details yourself allows you the freedom to create something completely bespoke and custom, therefore not having to stick to standard part sizes or thicknesses.

The furniture can also be designed to be flat-packed, so the buyer can easily put the parts together themselves with the ease of slotted parts to a simple mechanical fixing.

Here’s a look at a print we did not so long ago that we thought we’d reshare with you all!

We 3D Printed this piece of art in full colour on the HP Jet Fusion 580. The sculptor wanted to see how the marble effect compared to a traditional piece of marble. It was printed in days and at a fraction of the cost of using traditional methods! 😄🙌🏻

3D Printing is Enhancing the World of Retail, Visual Merchandising and the Shopper Experience.

Nike's flag ship store in the heart of Soho, New York have installed these amazing 3D printed mannequins. 3D Printing allows designers the freedom to create without restrictions.

Adidas recently launched a new store on Carnaby Street, London, with one of the main attractions being a giant 3D Printed trainer.

This Amazing guitar was 3D Printed in Real Wood.

The process leverages a binder jetting additive manufacturing process with wood sawdust and bio-epoxy resin as a binder. If optimized for high productivity, it could represent a more sustainable future for the manufacture of high-end wooden products. The on-demand 3D printing of wood using waste natural materials is a real gamechanger.
