Hello to all my lovely followers. Just a quick mid-week update on a job I’ve been on with in glorious Harrogate. Why is it… outside work always comes in when the weather is absolutely dreadful 🥶 But hey ho, sat at home doesn’t pay the bills!

Set of first floor joists on a wrap around extension. Wall-plate anchor resined and bolted to the existing house.

I don’t know about other joiners but I love framing out a flat roof. Nice and simple, sometimes…
This in-particular flat roof is going to be a warm roof which is basically a normal flat roof just insulated the opposite way round. The kingspan will sit on top of the flat roof instead of in between the roof spars, if you’re having nice sized skylights in you’re roof then a warm roof gives you a nice big up-stand on the inside running up to the skylight.

I plan to have the roof framed out and ready for the warm room for the end of the week.
