Yesterday, alongside 350 other attendees, we celebrated the launch of ElectroWay at Magna Park, one of the UK’s first large-scale HGV electric charging facilities.⚡

The day featured a time capsule ceremony with pupils from the local school, a ribbon cutting and speeches from project partners.

Working on behalf of Keoma Energy, our team delivered the civil engineering and infrastructure works behind this 23-hectare development.

The state-of-the-art facility offers 180 secure truck parking bays, 32 high-power chargers and a dedicated driver amenities hub, built for the people powering electric freight. It’s a significant milestone for the UK’s logistics infrastructure, supporting the transition to electric HGVs and more sustainable transport.

We’re proud to have been part of it. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to completion.

It can’t always be the Spanish mountains, someone has to hold it down in the Midlands.

With the O'Brien team now back on Midlands soil, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the projects we've worked on across the region over the years.

From restoring the historic Chesterfield Canal to supporting the development of major infrastructure in Fairham, multiple contracts in West Longbridge and a new training ground for Premier League side, Aston Villa, the team has worked across a wide range of schemes, showcasing our skills on a variety of civil engineering, construction, and sports projects across the Midlands.

Three days. 300 miles. One final push to the finish.🏁

For the final day, the team took on a huge 114 mile stretch. It was a long and exposed day on the road, finishing with one final climb to Madrid.

It’s been a huge challenge, but an even bigger achievement, with the team pushing through every climb, mile and tired leg to raise money for a great cause.👏

The final day is well underway, and the team are powering through the last leg of the ride. After two huge days in the saddle, there’s still some road and maybe (definitely) some hills to tackle before they reach the finish line in Madrid. 🚵

Day two done! 🚴

Another big day in the saddle. putting legs, lungs and teamwork to the test once again - the team completed the 118 (yes, 118!) mile stretch from Vitoria-Gasteiz to Burgos, making their way through more of the Spanish countryside.

The finish line is getting closer, but there’s still one final day to go. Time to eat, rest and get those legs ready for the final push! 🏁

Before the sun was up this morning, Team O’Brien was already back in the saddle, ready to take on day two.

After conquering a tough climb, they’ve now reached the 50-mile checkpoint, which offered a well-deserved pit stop to refuel before tackling the next stretch.

The good news? We're just over £1,000 away from hitting our £10k fundraising target!

And just like that… day one is in the bag! 💪

The team took on the first leg of our Even Bigger Bike Ride from Bilbao to Victoria-Gasteiz, covering around 65-70 miles and tackling a serious 4,500–5,200ft of elevation along the way. ⛰️

It was a proper test from the start, with mountainous climbs giving way to some much-appreciated rolling roads. Despite the forecast, the sun even showed it's face!

Every mile is being ridden for a great cause, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone cheering us on and supporting the ride. Now for some food, rest… and maybe a little less enthusiasm when the alarm goes off tomorrow!

The journey so far…

The team and their bikes have landed safely in Spain! After a hearty Spanish meal and a good night’s sleep, they’re ready to take on Day 1.💪

Stretches done, helmets on and final checks complete, it’s time to get on the bikes and hit the road.
