“How long do I have to wait to spread slurry after liming?” 🚜
It’s a question we get asked a lot, and with G-Lime, the answer is probably shorter than you think.
When using bulk ground limestone, the recommended waiting period before applying slurry can be much longer, as slurry applied too soon after liming can increase the risk of nitrogen losses through ammonia emissions.
But with G-Lime granulated lime, that waiting period can drop from around 3 months to a maximum of 2 weeks before you get back to spreading slurry. ✅
That means less waiting around and more flexibility when the weather, ground conditions and workload are already hard enough to manage. 🌦️
And if organising a contractor around low grass cover and dry weather is a headache, G-Lime helps there too.
It can be applied at any time of year to bare soil, stubble ground or growing crops using your own conventional fertiliser spreading equipment. 🌱
The moral of the story? There’s always time to lime.
