Progress has been slow this week with the unseen work that comes with any extension drainage and stoning up, we did manage to get a few blocks laid and the steel post in and bolted, big week next week hopefully the block work will be well on the base ready for concrete, massive thanks to DSP Building Company. Busy week on the extension concrete footings laid thanks to the lads at Cumbria concrete Pumping for making our life’s soo much easier pumping 15 cubic metres 😅 the retaining wall is pretty much built all steal rods in and mesh installed just need to concrete the cavity, we managed to get the extension 1st course laid ready to run it in to DPC hight. Thanks to Dean at DSP building company for giving us a hand on the block work.
With the weather changing Friday I managed to get the small job finished off as well this week.

It’s been a very busy week with all the footings excavated ready for the big concrete pour on Monday morning. While the lads where cracking on with that I managed to fit one of many smaller jobs in the customer wanted more natural light in there living room so we have installed a new window just waiting on the electrician to move some wires that unfortunately ended up in the way. Extremely busy week with lots going on 1st job now the scaffolding has been removed we stripped the small roof off at the rear of the property we recently replaced and roofed it with pan tiles to match the house roof.
2nd job we installed new 7x2 timbers in a loft insulated and laid new flooring ready for the new stairs being delivered very soon and while this was going on we also started the demolition of the walls and footings on the next project ready to start excavating the footings next week. After a slow start to the week we have removed a wall and installed a steel beam for a returning customer to create a more open plan kitchen dining room feel.
Then the back end of the week we have taken the conservatory down ready for the excavating to start next week.

Another busy week putting the finishing touches on the garage revamp ready for the new resin floor going in next week we have also rebuilt the retaining wall and put the scratch render coat on ready for top coat. We have got the go ahead to start building the extension on the property so we will upload photos as we go.

Another job completed, we have completed this reroof this week we remove the old rosemary tiles and replace them with a more modern pan tile, we have replaced the lead work around the chimney and reported it. All materials purchased from Huws Gray, scaffolding supplied by Mammoth Scaffolding 🦣.

So we are back from a week in the sun and straight in to a couple new jobs 1st we have started a reroof in between the showers 🌧️🌧️all stripped off and felt and battens on and the front elevation pretty much tiled, this will be completed early next week.
