Good morning. We hope everyone is enjoying the continuous sunshine, we know we are ☀️

When planning a building or landscaping project starts long before the first shovel goes into the ground. Setting a realistic budget is important, but it’s equally important to understand where that budget is being spent. Quality materials, proper groundwork and experienced workmanship all play a huge part in how well your project stands the test of time.

The saying “buy cheap, buy twice” exists for a reason. While a lower quote may seem appealing, cutting corners can often lead to repairs, replacements and additional costs further down the line. Taking the time to plan properly, choosing the right materials and investing in quality workmanship from the outset will almost always save money in the long run.

🚨 Important Notice 🚨

With some parts of the UK being issued a red weather warning & the parts of wales where we are working, an amber weather warning of temperatures reaching potentially dangerous levels, please be aware that some projects may experience delays.

As we are currently working on landscaping jobs this week meaning we’re outside, this could be heavily affected by extreme weather, and we take our responsibility to protect our workmen seriously. No deadline is worth compromising the health and safety of our team.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work around the conditions and will keep customers informed of any changes to schedules. We know this can be annoying with jobs having to be moved/ rescheduled but we hope you can understand the seriousness of as to why.

Stay safe everyone & remember -

• Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm) IF you can.
• Drink water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
• Use fans, cool showers, damp towels, or dip feet into paddling pool.
• Wear loose, light-coloured clothing.
• Keep curtains and blinds closed on sun-facing windows.
• Check on elderly relatives, neighbours and anyone vulnerable.
• And NEVER jump straight into rivers, lakes, quarries or the sea when you’re overheated.
Enter water gradually to allow your body to adjust.
• don’t keep children and pets in the car.

Good Morning all, far & wide. ☀️

We’ve recently seen many posts circulating on social media regarding rogue builders operating in the local area and the poor-quality workmanship that has unfortunately left homeowners out of pocket and disappointed. Good afternoon,
With the hot weather continuing, here are a few reminders for everyone at home,

🌱 Grass & Turf Care
• Try to water early morning or later in the evening
• Avoid cutting grass too short during hot spells
• Newly laid turf especially needs regular watering to stop it drying out

🐾 Don’t Forget Your Animals
• Make sure pets always have access to fresh water and shaded areas
• Patios, decking, and artificial grass can become extremely hot on paws
• Please check surfaces before letting pets walk on them

💧 Stay Safe in the Heat
• Keep hydrated
• Take breaks where possible
• Look after each other
• Reapply suncream often, especially if in and out of water.

Stay safe & hydrated ✌🏼

The week is almost over with the sunshine joining🙌🏼

But the work doesn’t stop for us just because the working week has ended,
At CMF Building & Landscaping limited we are proudly based in Lampeter, but no two weeks ever look the same for us. One day we’re working locally, the next we’re loading up before sunrise and heading hours away with trailers, machinery and enough Redbulls to keep the team moving ⚡️

From small private jobs to larger commercial work, outside or inside, muddy fields to difficult access sites, we’re fully equipped and always ready to get the job done properly, whatever the weather no matter the location.

Being based in West Wales doesn’t mean we stay put. We’ve built great relationships with customers right across Wales because people know they can rely on us to turn up, work hard and leave a job done to the best standard 🫡
