At this Grade II listed rural property, a tired existing garage has been transformed into a new annexe offering flexible living space - bedrooms, a kitchen and an open-plan living area, with a mezzanine level adding an additional bedroom while keeping a real sense of openness throughout.

It's a reminder that the potential is often already there on your site. An underused garage, barn or outbuilding can become an annexe, a guest space, a home office or somewhere for family to stay - designed to sit comfortably alongside the character of your existing home.

A modest Victorian cottage, grown into a family home without losing its charm.

Sunny Bank began as a two-bedroom workers' cottage - full of character, limited in space. The brief was to expand it into a four-bedroom home while holding on to the warmth of the original building.

An oak-framed glazed link now connects the cottage to its outbuildings, forming a natural transition between old and new. A side extension brings vaulted oak ceilings and traditional inglenook fireplaces, adding scale and character while feeling comfortably woven into the existing home.

Furzefield | Project Progress

Earlier this month, we shared the vision for Furzefield. Now, a look at the project taking shape on site.

This full renovation and extension project has seen the existing first floor removed and completely reconfigured, alongside the construction of a new roof structure, a rear extension and a full internal transformation.

From concept through to construction, it's exciting to see the project move from drawings and visualisations into reality.

At this substantial family home in Tunbridge Wells, existing rooms were reworked to create a clearer hierarchy of spaces, better circulation and a stronger connection between indoor and outdoor living. A new open-plan arrangement opens up generous entertaining spaces and improves access to the garden.

Fitted furniture runs throughout - a walk-in wardrobe and custom storage, each piece crafted to maximise function without compromising the character of the home.

A tired chalet bungalow, reimagined as a bright and modern family home.

Commonfield Road began as a semi-detached chalet bungalow that no longer suited modern family life. The project extends and remodels the house to create a brighter, more spacious home while making better use of the existing footprint.

A double-storey side extension and single-storey rear addition introduce generous open-plan living spaces, with the roof reworked to create additional accommodation above.

Externally, white render, timber cladding and aluminium glazing give the house a lighter, more contemporary presence.

The result brings clarity and cohesion to what was once a fragmented layout - architecture, interiors and build, delivered as one.

Project Spotlight | Furzefield

Furzefield reimagines a substantial chalet bungalow as a more cohesive and contemporary family home.

The design carefully reshapes the existing building, introducing a steeper pitched roof and reconfigured layout to create a stronger sense of proportion, openness and connection throughout the house.

A new vaulted rear extension extends the main living spaces towards the garden, bringing natural light deep into the interior while strengthening the relationship between inside and out.

A project that balances familiar forms with contemporary interventions to create a home that feels both refined and enduring.
