Designed for its landscape - with an upside-down layout.

A contemporary replacement dwelling set within a protected rural landscape, Hurst View draws on traditional rural forms through a natural palette of sandstone and timber. Its upside-down layout places the living spaces upstairs, making the most of natural light and open countryside views.

Why are homes being turned upside down?

It sounds counterintuitive - living spaces upstairs, bedrooms below - but the upside-down house is one of the smartest moves in modern residential design.

A brilliant couple of days at the Edenbridge & Oxted Show.
