D.D. Wilson Gas & Heating Engineers is currently being targeted by organised review-extortion scammers using WhatsApp accounts and telephone numbers appearing to originate from Pakistan and India.

Their method is simple:

❌ Post fake one-star reviews
❌ Damage a reputable company’s rating
❌ Contact the business through WhatsApp
❌ Demand payment to remove the reviews

This is extortion—and we will not pay ever !

These individuals are not genuine customers, have never used our services and cannot provide legitimate job details, addresses, invoices or evidence of any work completed by us.

We have reported the accounts, messages and reviews to Google, Trustpilot and the appropriate cybercrime authorities. Similar attacks against highly rated UK businesses have also been widely discussed online.

Until the fraudulent reviews are removed, our overall rating may not accurately represent the genuine experience of our customers.

Our workmanship, customer service and professional standards have not changed.

🎒 A BIG DAY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF D.D. WILSON! 🎒

Today is our little man Layke’s first day at his new school after graduating from nursery! He’s only three, but he walked in like he owned the place—probably wondering where his van, uniform and first job sheet were! 😂🔧

Meanwhile, Harmony, aged 10, is starting her final year in juniors, and Melody, aged six, is heading into her second year in infants. Three children, three different stages and one very proud mum and dad. ❤️

Building a business teaches you that nothing worthwhile happens overnight. You grow, learn, make mistakes, solve problems and keep moving forward—and raising a family is exactly the same… only with more packed lunches, missing shoes and last-minute chaos! 😂

🚨 DANGEROUS COMMERCIAL GAS APPLIANCE MADE SAFE – MERSEYSIDE HOTEL 🚨

We received an urgent call today from a local hotel in Merseyside regarding a commercial Andrews natural-gas hot water heater.

📞 Call received 🚐 Engineer on site within 45 minutes ⚠️ Serious safety concerns identified 🔥 Gas appliance immediately isolated and made safe

The video shows exactly what our engineer found on arrival.

When it comes to commercial gas appliances, warning signs cannot be ignored. A fault with a commercial water heater can potentially have very serious consequences, which is why the appliance was taken out of service immediately.

The hotel will now require a replacement Andrews commercial water heater, or a suitable equivalent, correctly sized and installed for the building's hot-water demand.

🔥 THEY THINK THEY’RE JUST HELPING DAD OUT FOR THE SUMMER… ❤️

But there’s a bit more to this picture than that.

The kids have been helping out at DD Wilson Gas & Heating Engineers during the summer holidays, and they’re standing underneath a Les Brown quote that has been part of my journey since the very beginning:

“If you want a thing bad enough, go out and fight for it, work day and night for it…”

When I first started DD Wilson, I didn't have everything figured out.

But I had ambition. I had a family to provide for. And I had an absolute determination to make something work.

That quote became a reminder to me.

Through the long days.
The 7-day weeks.
The mistakes.
The pressure.
The knock-backs.
And all the times when things didn't go to plan.

Keep going.

Years later, we're still here. We've built a team, a reputation and a business I'm incredibly proud of — and now my kids are spending their summer holidays coming in and seeing what goes on behind it all.

The funniest part is they've heard that Les Brown speech so many bloody times they can practically recite it backwards. 😂
