The future of the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks is under threat. Venues such as The Stag are vitally important to our local community.

My 12-year old daughter has already performed at the theatre half a dozen times (with her school and other groups) and the experience has been a huge boost to her confidence and creativity.

The Stag offers cinema, theatre, musical performances, panto(!) and lots of activities for young people. To lose it would be a tragedy and I am hopeful that Sevenoaks District Council will realise this and do the right thing. More than 7,000 people have now signed the petition supporting the transfer of The Stag Theatre freehold to Sevenoaks Town Council.

The response highlights just how valued The Stag is within the local community and the important role it continues to play in arts, entertainment, and local events across Sevenoaks.

Lullingstone is home to one of the country’s most important collections of ancient and veteran trees, with some thought to be hundreds of years old.
