This week we were up in the east neuk of Fife installing some new field fencing for a returning customer.

We broke out the Protech Machinery P30
Contractor post knocker for this one. Coupled to our Bobcat CTL, it soon made light work of post installation.

220m + of post and 3 wire fence installed. Circa 60m of Post and rail and a new 4ft metal gate to complete.

A huge improvement over the old fencing leaving a secure environment for the horses and a satisfied customer.

Our latest attachment for our Bobcat CTL has finally arrived! Meet our new Power Rake!

We will be trialling this in the coming weeks, but the planned areas of application will be as follows:

✅ Equestrian Arena Renovations - to aid decompaction of existing sub base layers to allow regrading and possible rejuvenation of surfaces.

✅ Rejuvination of gravel / stone surfaces such as driveways and tracks, footpaths, cycle paths, buggy paths on golf courses and more!

✅ Cultivation, reinstatement and rejuvenation of soft landscape surfaces.

And anything else we can think of 😊

The machine is directly driven from the Hydraulics which has huge benefits over chain driven models, ensuring that no power is lost within the drivetrain and mitigating risk of breakdown from chain breakage.

The primary objective of this machine is to re-use existing materials and therefore saving our clients money by not having to import new or additional materials to rectify the areas.
May not be suitable for all anticipated surfaces, but we will certainly try!

A bit of a mixed bag this week….. we started off doing some work at the yard installing an extension to a fence and some gates at the request of our landlord to form another storage yard.

Tuesday we were off for a meeting at a fantastic facility with our partners from Jelka and we are looking forward to being part of what will be a very special project indeed. More on the exciting development in time….

Wednesday and Thursday
- a domestic fencing job up in Dundee. Tasked to remove a makeshift trellis boundary divide between properties and install a more robust and non intrusive solution to give the family some security and privacy.
We quickly tidied up the boundary then got stuck # in getting the new 1.5m high fence installed. A small section at circa 900mm retained between the buildings and maintaining friendly interaction with the neighbours, and then a wee additional extra to re-work the existing entrance gate.
Weather was 💩⛈️☔️ but continued we did and we leave another satisfied customer behind.

Tomorrow sees a day full of site visits to south Ayrshire and Dumfries. Enquiries have been coming in strong and with a busy schedule ahead, we decided to take a day out and focus on customer visits.

Next week we are off to the east neuk of Fife for more fencing of the equestrian variety.
Hopefully the weather improves! 🥴
