As winter starts to creep in on us, now has never been a better time to get prepared before the muddy conditions arrive.

The importance of drainage is often underestimated and when it come to the control of surface water run off…. We have you covered!

One of the biggest issues we see around stable blocks is a lack of connection of the rain water downpipes. Roof areas capture a huge amount of water and simply allowing this to discharge onto the soft ground around your stables, only leads to problems. We can reduce the risk of flooding and damage by installing designated systems that will channel the water away to suitable outlets whether to watercourses via silt traps or soakaways, we can cover them all.
We invest in the correct equipment to ensure drainage is installed accurately and consistently and each job is surveyed to ensure we achieve the best solution. No guess work, all calculated because we believe in a right first time approach.

Ground preparation is also an important factor in management and care of your facilities.
We can install hardstandings, track systems and access roads that will last the test of time.

A new week…. Another new customer!

Tasked with bringing the finishing touches to our clients self-build arena, we supplied and fitted the new membrane, equestrian grade silica sand and Combi-Ride Pro advanced stabiliser fibres. Mother Nature even popped in to provide some much needed moisture to the process! 🌧️
Final finish completed using our ArenaMate Type 3 Leveller.

A return visit to another of our long standing customers this week…. Week 1 of around 3 to be exact.

Starting off with some changes to the turnout area which seen removal of some post and rail fencing, extension to the width of the area and a replacement section of post and rail installed, this time higher to prevent the horses from eating the yew trees.
Extended areas covered with type 1 and a whin dust blinding.

A few other sections of rails replaced and a new entrance cut through with ramp back down into the field which, when open, will allow the horses to move around between areas freely.
New entrance secured with slip rails which are a cost effective solution over timber gates and much easier replaced if needed.

Then it was on to the first 69m section of stock fence replacement.
The old fence was past its best and anything but secure, but we soon cleared it using our Wacker Neuson ET18 with selector grab attachment.
Once cleared, we coupled up the ET18 with our flail head to clear back the overgrowth and create some working space to install the new fence.

New strainers and intermediate posts installed using our Protech P30 Contractor Post Knocker attached to the Bobcat CTL. Once complete, we swapped over from the post knocker and broke out the Fast Fencer Monkey which made quick and light work running out and tensioning the stock net. Finished off with a top wire and rails to close off the ends where the different fences meet.

All in all a very productive first week 💪
