It’s a bit like carpentry though! You can always find someone cheaper, but does that mean you’ll get the same quality, materials or finish? 🤔
As carpenters, we take pride in our workmanship, use quality materials and make sure the job is done properly. Our prices reflect the time, skill and rising material costs involved.
We thought we'd take a moment to explain a little about the costs involved in running our carpentry business and how little things impact us as we've had a few comments or queries recently which we've had to address.
💰 Rising costs -
Like many trades, we’ve seen increases in the cost of timber, fixings, materials, fuel and other essentials needed to carry out our work and run the business. Unfortunately, these rising costs mean we’ve had to review our prices to ensure our quotes accurately reflect the cost of completing each job to a high standard. Also, its worth mentioning after the final invoice we don't see the majority of what a customer has paid. This goes on materials, business costs and a lovely chunk of it goes to the tax man!
💷 Fair pricing for quality work -
When we provide a quote, we take into account materials, time, travel, preparation and the experience needed to get the job done properly. Our aim is always to offer a fair and honest price while delivering quality workmanship based on years of learned skills and experience that both we and our customers can be proud of.
⏰ A little understanding goes a long way -
We completely understand that people need time to consider quotes and work within their budgets — there’s absolutely no problem with that! 😊 We simply ask, where possible, that customers keep us updated if plans change, as quoting, measuring up and arranging work all take time behind the scenes. We'd be more than happy to provide an estimate based on our experience and the info you provide us so you can see rough costs. If you're happy with that and you're ready to proceed we can do a visit and give you an accurate quote.
