🚴 Lucy is no stranger to a challenge 💙

We've been cheering on some brilliant charity fundraisers recently, and the next challenge is just around the corner as Lu Meadows prepares to take on a 100-mile cycle ride.

As Executive PA, Lucy has a super-busy role keeping schedules on track, organising meetings, and helping everything run smoothly 📋

Outside the office, she's a keen sportswoman who is no stranger to pushing herself and taking on endurance challenges which would faze most of us 💪

On Friday 19th June, she'll be cycling 100 miles from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey in aid of Tough Enough To Care 🚴‍♀️

Tough Enough To Care is a mental health charity which encourages open conversations, challenges stigma and reminds people they never have to face things alone.

As if that in itself is not enough, this challenge is training for an even bigger adventure in July when Lucy'll be taking part in the London to Paris Bike Ride 🚲

⛰️ Just under 2 weeks to go! ⛰️

On the 27th of June, Chris Crowe from the Stiltz Telesales team and a group of colleagues from our Guiseley office will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Cancer Support Yorkshire.

The challenge will see the team tackle 24 miles across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with the goal of completing the route within 12 hours.

It's a tough test of endurance, but the team is looking forward to putting their walking boots to the test for a fantastic cause 💪

💙 This Carers Week, we're recognising the dedication, compassion and resilience of carers across the world 💙

This year’s theme, "Building Carer Friendly Communities", highlights the importance of creating places, services and support networks where unpaid carers feel recognised, understood and supported 🩺

Behind every person receiving care is someone providing it. Today we're sharing the story of Judith and the support she provides to her husband Tony, who lives with Alzheimer's.

When the stairs became a growing safety concern, she started searching for a solution that would help Tony move safely around their home without compromising the character of the beautiful Art Deco house they had built their life together in.

That's when she discovered Stiltz Homelifts 💡

💬 "The lift gives him continued independence," Judith shares, "and it’s also a great help for me as he can, for now at least, get around safely. It has given us back a bit of our life as it used to be."

It's our way of encouraging our team to give back to the communities and causes they care about most.

From litter picking to taking a local Guide Unit camping 🏕️, and helping freshen up a community football stadium ⚽, to running fun engineering sessions at their old schools 🔧📚, our colleagues have been making a real difference.

💙 Each year, World MS Day occurs on 30th May 💙

An estimated 2.9 million people worldwide are living with multiple sclerosis (MS), a condition which affects movement and balance, causes fatigue and can restrict mobility.

Organisations such as the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and Multiple Sclerosis Trust continue to provide vital support, advice and awareness for those affected.

This year’s theme, "My MS Diagnosis", highlights the importance of early and accurate diagnosis, helping people better understand their condition, access support and make informed decisions for the future.

After being diagnosed with MS, Stiltz customer Judy Turner was unsure what the future might look like and was told her mobility would likely reduce over time.

Wanting to plan ahead, Judy explored different options but found alternatives such as a stairlift were not the right fit.

A Stiltz Homelift proved to be the best solution, with Judy being recommended a larger model ready for wheelchair use if needed in the future, helping her continue living comfortably and independently in the cosy barn conversion home she loves 🏡

Today, Judy can continue to move easily around her home and has also taken up wheelchair tennis to stay active and keep doing the things she enjoys 🎾

The conference brings together professionals from across expert witness, rehabilitation and case management services for a day of learning, discussion and networking.

Trusted Assessors Michael Wynne and Dean Nelson will be on hand to discuss how homelifts can support accessibility, independent living and wider home adaptation recommendations following Occupational Therapy assessments.
