A thought for all cancer patients How Cancer tears a person apart by deeply altering their sense of safety, energy, and self in ways that those who have never faced it often cannot see or fully understand.
The Invisible TollPermanent fear: Hearing the words "you have cancer" changes how safe the world feels forever, leaving a lingering fear that does not vanish when treatment ends.
Deep exhaustion:
Cancer fatigue is a bone-deep tiredness that normal sleep and rest do not fix.
Altered identity:
Physical and emotional changes linger long after appointments slow down, leaving survivors to live with a changed sense of self.
What People Get WrongToxic positivity:
Telling someone "you are going to beat this" or calling them "strong" can feel heavy, as no one can promise an outcome and survival often just feels like the only option left.
Comparing stories:
Sharing stories of other people who suffered or died can push a patient into panic and despair.
Assuming recovery:
Looking healthy on the outside does not mean a person is fully recovered on the inside.
How to Support SomeoneJust listen: Witness their pain without trying to fix it, soften it, or explain it away.
Believe them:
You do not have to fully understand the experience to validate and believe what they are going through.
Keep things normal:
Offer normal, everyday conversations and company instead of only focusing on the disease.

That looks like a highly professional, pristine finish! The seamless gray coating creates a clean, watertight seal around the chimney and transitions smoothly into the existing tiled rooflines. Great job on completing it and tying the two structures together
Well done lads
