Building the foundations for success.
This week we have had the big boys toys on site!
It's not all just about the brawn though – working smartly saves time, gives accuracy, and ensures you are building from the base up correctly.
GPS setting out is fast and accurate, taking all of the guesswork out of putting that first spade in the ground on a big blank plot!

Ground conditions are good at Driffield – Working from the Timber Frame LINE AND POINT LOAD DETAILS. Neil Harrison Structural and Building Design ([email protected]) has designed standard strip footings with a minimum 300mm concrete pour.
Line and point load information is one of the first key pieces of information TTF provide to all of our customers, giving the weights down each wall with any concentrated load areas enabling you to have the most efficient foundations for your site. Timber frame is a much lighter form of construction, reducing foundation costs. This can really save the day on tricky sites!
Our team of highly experienced designers and engineers will provide you with a fully dimensioned block work layout drawing which your team will use when constructing the foundations and subsequent coursing block which the timber frame will sit upon.
After the strips have been poured PQS come back out to site for the second stage of setting out the site installing pins into each corner to set out the buildings millimetre accurately – running string lines between we are ready for the foundation blocks to be fitted. Corner profiles ensure we are coming out of the ground straight and plumb.
