Sadly, Honey didn't make it. 🦔💔

Honey was found in a garden in Yeadon, Leeds, before being brought into Prickly Pigs Hedgehog Rescue in Otley after being painted blue and yellow with heavy paint.

The paint hardened, leaving her unable to fold into a ball to protect herself—and worse, she struggled to breathe due to the toxic fumes. Despite the incredible efforts of the rescue team to clean her spines and treat her, she tragically passed away.

Massive respect to the team at Prickly Pigs for doing everything they could for her until the very end. 💙

A couple of snippets of my yard today. More Calendula seed almost ready for random scattering & plenty of fruit & veg coming around the pretty blooms! Two really happy Sunday moments out there realising that for the first year my oak is making acorns, I will always remember the first year she made seed was the year the Major Oak was declared dead…and so the cycle continues! Secondly there are some little golden Dots in the garden, I thought there weren’t any (Dots being baby orb weavers likely descendants of golden orby Dorothy who was around last year) 💛💚
