‘Our boiler is making funny noises’
This is what we found….
- Expansion vessel that flat water dribbles out, so we recharged the vessel ✅
- Condense pipe & Trap blocked solid of crap, so we cleaned it & cleared the blockage.
- Case screws on top of these boilers, sat on top not fixed in. 😬
- Spark electrodes seen better days, changed those ✅
- Bearing plate (rubber flap) torn off and found in the burner, replaced that ✅
- Red burner seal that stuck had to scrape it off, replaced that ✅
- Had to fight to get the baffles out (the springy bit) first time they’ve seen the light of day. 👀
- All routine checks an annual service would flag up.
Unfortunately this client had paid the same company that installed the boiler 8 years ago to service it every year… 🤔
