🔨 Kitchen Renovation Progress – Heacham 🔨
It might not look glamorous just yet, but a huge amount of important work has been happening behind the scenes on our latest kitchen renovation in Heacham!
With structural alterations involved, getting everything right, &, most importantly, safe, has been the priority. Temporary supports have been in place while the structural work was carried out, the new steel is in, & we’re pleased to say that the structural engineer & Building Control are happy with the work completed so far.
That means it’s now all systems go! 🙌
The ceiling is being re-boarded & the room is starting to come back together ready for the next stages of the renovation.
When you’re altering the structure of a property, it’s always worth doing things properly. Structural engineers and Building Control might not make for the prettiest progress photos, but knowing the work has been checked & approved gives everyone peace of mind & gives us a sound base to create the finished room.

Veranda rebuild progress in Weybourne 🔨🌿
Another big stage completed on our replacement veranda project in Weybourne, North Norfolk.
The new timber framework is now fully built, strengthened and weatherproofed, creating a solid base ready for the next stage — laying the decking.
There’s a huge amount of work beneath a finished veranda that you’ll never see once the boards go down, so we thought this stage was worth sharing!
Next up… the decking, when it will really start to look like a veranda again. 👀

A real labour of love — but what a transformation! 🤍
This was a long and painstaking restoration project. Years of weather exposure had left several of these traditional timber windows with extensive peeling paint and badly deteriorated sections of wood.
The damaged timber was carefully removed and repaired, with new sections made to match the original frames. Everything was then thoroughly prepared, primed and painted to give the windows a fresh new finish and protect them for years to come.
Restoring older windows takes considerably more time and patience than simply replacing them, but it allows the original character of a beautiful property like this to be retained — and we think the results speak for themselves.

Veranda Rebuild Progress – Weybourne, North Norfolk 🛠️

Sometimes it’s only once you start taking something apart that the real problems become clear.

Our latest veranda renovation in Weybourne revealed extensive rot within the existing timber frame, with several structural posts having completely deteriorated below ground level. Rather than patching over the problem, we’ve removed the compromised structure and are rebuilding it properly from the ground up.

✅ Rotten posts and timber frame removed
✅ New concrete foundations installed
✅ Heavy-duty galvanised post supports set into concrete
✅ New structural timber framework now taking shape

By replacing the original buried timber posts with galvanised post bases, the new structure will be far better protected against moisture and rot, helping to ensure many years of reliable service.

Quality renovations are built on solid foundations, even when most of the hard work ends up hidden from view.

Some journeys to work are a little more special than others. ☀️🌊

This is our commute this week along the beautiful Norfolk coast, and days like these remind us just how lucky we are to live and work in such an incredible part of the country.

We’re so grateful to our wonderful customers who trust us with their homes and keep us travelling to some of the most stunning locations Norfolk has to offer. Whether we’re repairing, renovating or creating something new, it’s a privilege to do what we love in such beautiful surroundings.
