Two homes where there was one.
At 34 Davenant Road, a single house has been replaced by two highly sustainable family homes, making better use of an established residential site while responding carefully to the character of the street.
Familiar gables, clay roof tiles and a red-brick plinth help the building settle into its surroundings. Behind the traditional forms, both homes incorporate air-source heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage to support low-energy living.
