Seeing The Radcliffe Observatory up close!

Since the start of Phase Two, scaffolding has been erected around the building, providing a rare opportunity to view some of the Observatory's remarkable architectural features up close, including the intricate zodiac carvings pictured.

As this important conservation project continues, our team is working carefully to preserve and protect this iconic Oxford landmark for future generations.

We look forward to sharing further updates as this conservation project progresses.

Recently achieving practical completion, our Special Projects team has successfully delivered a new rifle range complex for the Bicester Sports Association in Chesterton.

The project involved the construction of a steel-framed building featuring a combination of timber and metal cladding. Internally, the facility comprises two shooting bays, a clubroom, kitchenette, a changing room, concrete armoury and WC facilities.

A unique and interesting project to be part of, and a fantastic addition to the Association's facilities.

Yesterday, the Kingerlee team came together to say farewell to Ashley Hall as he closes an important chapter in his working life and begins a well-earned retirement.

During his five years with Kingerlee, Ashley contributed to a wide range of projects, from private homes and commercial developments to laboratory facilities. His knowledge, dedication and expertise have been greatly valued by colleagues and clients alike.

As Ashley embarks on this exciting new chapter, he already has plenty to look forward to, including an upcoming trip to Borneo. A keen and experienced motorcyclist, Ashley also plans to volunteer with the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes, continuing to make a positive difference in his community.

Thank you, Ashley, for your commitment and contribution during your time at Kingerlee. We wish you every happiness, success and adventure in your retirement.

Spanning over 3,500 sq m across ground and basement levels, the spa features six distinctive water experiences, including a tepidarium pool, a grotto cave with waterfall, a marble-stepped pool, and plunge pools. The facility is further enhanced by luxurious treatment rooms, a steam room, a sauna, yoga studio and high-quality changing facilities.

On Friday, members of the Kingerlee team, alongside some special guests, took part in the Corporate Clash Touch Rugby Tournament at OURFC.

It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends across the industry, meet new faces, and enjoy some friendly competition on the pitch.

Despite the high temperatures, the team had a brilliant day and even came away with a memorable wooden spoon to show for it!

A big thank you to the organisers and to OURFC for hosting such an enjoyable event and thank you to our wonderful guests for joining us!

We are delighted to share that works are underway at Somerville College, with hoardings now in place and initial groundwork commencing to establish the footprint of the Ratan Tata Building.

This striking new building has been thoughtfully designed to sensitively blend with and complement the surrounding architecture within the historic Radcliffe Observatory Quarter.

The four-storey, 700 m² building will provide a permanent home for the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development. Offering six tutor rooms, a seminar room, boardroom, flexible event hall, roof terrace and research rooms, the building will create a vibrant and collaborative academic environment.

Sustainability is central to the project, with Passivhaus principles embedded throughout, supporting the Somerville’s overall ambition as a college to achieve net zero.

On Thursday the 4th of June, Kingerlee Joinery hosted a group of trainees from the Yellow Submarine Charity for a tour of the workshop.

Yellow Submarine supports people with learning disabilities and autism through training, work experience and inclusive community programmes, helping to build social skills, confidence and independence, while also supporting families and carers with respite.

The visit began with a demonstration of the CNC machine, where the group explored different cutters and materials used in joinery. Jonathan Watts, Joinery Director, then led a tour of the workshop, explaining the function of each machine, showcasing current projects and finishing in the spray room.

The trainees were highly engaged throughout and asked plenty of questions. The morning concluded with a delicious lunch purchased from the Yellow Submarine café.

As one of the charities we work closely with, it is great to be able to open our doors and support the trainees. Hopefully we have some inspired some future joiners!
