**🔨 HandyMan Ian – A Little Recovery Update 🔨**
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give all my old and new customers a little update.
The good news is that I've now had my **reverse shoulder replacement**, so that's another major surgery behind me. 💪 I'm really pleased to have it done, but now comes the important part... **rest, rehabilitation, and recovery**. My surgeon has advised that it will take around **six months** to rebuild the strength in my shoulder and arm, so there's still a long road ahead.
I'm also now **21 weeks on from my spinal surgery**. Overall, there has been progress, but I'm still dealing with a few issues, including a numb thigh and other lingering symptoms. Recovery from major surgery isn't always a straight line, so I'm taking each day as it comes and staying as positive as I can.
Many of you have asked when I'll be starting **HandyMan Ian**, and the honest answer is... **I'm now hoping it will be sometime in 2027**, providing my recovery continues in the right direction and my health allows me to return.
If I am fortunate enough to get back on the tools, I won't be taking on large renovation projects. Instead, I'll be looking to help with **smaller handyman jobs** around the home – the sort of jobs people either don't have the time to do or simply need an extra pair of hands with. This is something I'd like to do to keep myself active and earn a little bit of pocket money in retirement.
Just to make everyone aware, **customers will need to provide all materials**, as I no longer have trade accounts with suppliers. Any work I do will be **labour only**, with simple cash payments once the work has been completed.
For now, my priority is getting stronger, following my physiotherapy, and giving both my back and shoulder the best chance of making a successful recovery.
Thank you all so much for your patience, your support, and all the kind messages I've received over the past few months. They really have meant a great deal to me.
I'll continue to keep everyone updated as my recovery progresses, and hopefully, with a bit of luck, I'll be able to dust off the toolbox in 2027. 🔨😊
**Thanks everyone.**
**Ian** 🙏
