✅ Job Complete – Slate Roof Repair, Leeds
Before & After – Or in this case, the mess we found & fixed!
Turned up to a classic slate roof today with multiple issues:
• 🪨 Broken, slipped & missing slates – several cracked, lifted or completely gone, leaving gaps right down to the timbers
• 🪵 Exposed roof structure – slates had fallen away revealing old rafters, battens and insulation open to the elements
• 💧 Major leak risk – with gaps this big, water was straight through to the loft/inside – this would’ve caused serious damage if left!
What we did:
✅ Removed all damaged/loose slates & cleared the area safely
✅ Fitted new matching natural slate replacements – cut & fixed to match the existing pattern perfectly
✅ Replaced all required roof fixings, secured every slate properly
✅ Sealed & finished – weathertight, solid and ready for whatever the British weather throws at it!
Old slate roofs are lovely but they need TLC – a few missing slates can turn into a huge repair bill fast if water gets in. Caught this one just in time 🙌
