After a rough couple of weeks/months, we’re starting to find hard ground under our feet again and we’re looking to build the momentum and keep moving forwards.

If there’s any Groundworkers/machine ops/all rounders looking for a change of scenery, we are looking to take on two to three additional members of staff to form another gang. Immediate start available - strong rates, van + fuel card, tablet & digital job sheet so you know what’s on for the week/month ahead. If you don’t like technology we can do it the easy way with a pen and paper. Employed or Self Employed/CIS.

We have a strong and varied backlog of work, which consists of hard landscaping, laying setts/flagging & kerbing, demolition, site clearance, bulk earthworks, surface water drainage schemes & foul drainage, access roads, foundations, temporary works/piling, pre cast concrete retaining walls & a couple of shuttering jobs to squeeze in a long the way.

Thank you to everyone who attended the celebration of Dad’s life yesterday. Seeing so many people there to pay their respects was truly humbling and a testament to the impact he had on so many lives.

As a family, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness, support, cards, flowers, and messages we have received. Dad was not only a loving father, grandfather and incredibly passionate boss/partner but also my best friend.

Your presence and support during this difficult time meant more to us than words can express. Thank you for helping us give him the send-off he deserved.

In recognition of the incredible generosity shown by you all, Andrew Harvey Limited will match all donations received, doubling the contribution made in Dad’s memory to support the British Heart Foundation.

If you would prefer not to dress formally on Thursday, then a bit of colour, or a checked shirt/shirt and gillet is perfectly acceptable. How often did any of you see him wear anything else other than work gear? If you feel you should wear a tie, then rugby or sporting ties are perfectly acceptable too.

Andrew, my darling husband’s funeral will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Thursday 6th August at 12.30pm followed by refreshments at the Black Labrador, Underbarrow.

I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to write this, but I am completely lost for words.💔

Dear all friends, family, colleagues and suppliers, it is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the news that Dad/Andrew passed away in his sleep on Tuesday morning, 14/07/2026. All of our hearts are shattered but we are unbelievably grateful for the time we shared together.

I have been incredibly lucky to work for, with and alongside my dad for the last 15 years or so between contracting and travelling and working abroad. We could fall out and argue over 2mm, but that was just dad. He built his business and his reputation on chasing perfection.

Here’s to the best dad and grandad, to Andrew, to an old school gentleman and legend in his own right. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, and I hope we can make you proud going forwards with your business, we love you more than words could ever explain, and we will spend every day proving it to you😢😖😭💔❤️

Towards the end of last year we were asked to create this sunken patio area for a returning client.

Nothing fancy just reduce dig, foundations in, bases for the pergola, block-work and laying the porcelain tiles, the client organised the pergola and the rendering themselves with contractors they’ve used previously.

We think it looks fantastic and is a great addition to what is a beautifully landscaped garden area. A huge thank you to the clients for giving us the opportunity once again 👌🏼

What a view to end the week with🌅

After a steady start to 2026, we’re looking to add two more Experienced Groundworkers to our existing team from mid March through to mid April. PAYE or CIS

Requirements;
•Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
•Reliable, Trustworthy & Proud of the work you’re producing
•Full Clean UK license (Class 1 would be beneficial)
•Qualifications desirable - Streetworks, 360° above and below, forward tipping dumper, roller, telehandler, lifting/signaller, first aid etc - Experience is more important to us then tickets, we can help gain relevant tickets for the right person.
•Excellent daily time & site record keeping is an integral part of this role

A broad understanding of general groundwork’s including surface water/sewer & land drainage, tanking/waterproofing, conventional foundations, piled foundations & ring beams, rafts and RC works including shuttering and underpinning would be advantageous.

What we can offer you;
•Regular on/offsite training
•Modern Plant & Machinery equipped with GPS & Tilt Rotators
•Company Van with tools & personal tool allowance
•360° Branded Hi Vis Workwear with 2 sets of water proofs
•Pay IRO £30-38k/year
•28 days holiday
•A couple of show days a year whether it’s local or national, meeting suppliers, other contractors and just a bit of team bonding over a few🍺

Pretty cool day in the office doing something a little different today.

Providing operated plant hire to with our 2.5T machine & Engcon grading up and trimming the mountain bike trails after Tom and Sam ran through with the .maschinenbau crusher & mulchers.

Thoroughly enjoyed doing something different, and the scenery was fantastic 👌🏼
