A recent job changing a number of face plates and moving sockets to better suit the client’s setup.

The video shows the process sped up including removing the old faceplate, updating the connections, fitting the new finish and the final result once complete.

Not every EICR ends with a long list of faults.

A lot of people worry about booking an Electrical Installation Condition Report because they expect it to uncover endless problems.

The reality? A quality installation that has been looked after can remain safe for many years.

This consumer unit is a great example. Despite its age, the installation was neat, correctly terminated, tested thoroughly and met the required standards, resulting in a Satisfactory report. ✅

An EICR isn't about trying to find faults it's about confirming your electrical installation is safe or identifying anything that genuinely needs attention.

Whether it's a pass or a list of recommendations, you'll always receive an honest assessment with your safety as the priority.

📍 Covering Fife, Edinburgh & Perthshire

Consumer Unit Upgrade Completed ⚡

A modern consumer unit is one of the most important parts of your electrical installation. It helps protect your home, your family, and your property by safely disconnecting circuits when a fault occurs.

This upgrade gives the installation improved protection, a cleaner setup, and better reliability going forward.

✅ Improved electrical safety
✅ Modern circuit protection
✅ Neater, more reliable installation
✅ Peace of mind for the homeowner

If your consumer unit is old, damaged, has no RCD protection, or you’re unsure when it was last checked, it might be time to get it inspected.
