🔧🪟 HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE! 🪟🔧

Another window saved from being replaced in Bingley today! 💪

A customer called us after a so-called local locksmith/handyman failed to repair their faulty window mechanism, claiming the part was obsolete and they needed a brand-new window! 😳

With our NO CALL-OUT FEE, I popped over to Bingley today, confident I could find a solution.

Working from a ladder on the second floor (nothing new for an ex-window cleaner! 🪜), I cut out the old mechanism and adapted a new universal one to fit.

⏱️ Just 90 minutes later, the window was fully working again! ✅

No new window needed, money saved and one very happy customer! 😁

Of course, not every window can be repaired, but we’re always happy to have a look and give it our best shot before recommending a costly replacement! 💪

🔧 Why replace when you can repair?

⚠️ GOT A 3-STAR LOCK? CHECK WHEN IT WAS FITTED! ⚠️

After attending a customer’s property this weekend following a burglary, we think this is something every homeowner with a 3-star lock should be aware of.

Burglars managed to attack and snap an Ultion 3-star lock, even using a blowtorch during the attack, and unfortunately gained entry to the property. The photos show the damage and what was left of the cylinder.

The customer believed they had the protection of Ultion’s advertised £5,000 security guarantee, but discovered their lock was 5 years and 3 months old and outside the applicable guarantee period.

So check your locks!

Whether you have Ultion or another make of 3-star cylinder, check when it was installed and how long your guarantee lasts. A lock may have been high-security when it was fitted, but that doesn’t mean you should fit it and forget about it.

We now fit APECS 3-star cylinders, which come with a 10-year guarantee, giving you longer-term peace of mind.

🔐 SPECIAL OFFER – 10% OFF

If your current locks are getting older and you’d like them checked or upgraded to APECS 3-star cylinders, we’re currently offering 10% OFF.

Check the date. Check your guarantee. Check your security.

If you’re unsure how old your locks are, get in touch and we can advise you.

Emergency Contract Call-Out – Smashed Window

Attended site under our emergency contract following a smashed window. Damaged glazing was made safe and the window securely boarded.

Boarding was fitted without drilling or screwing into the existing uPVC window frame, avoiding unnecessary damage to the customer’s frame, unlike conventional screw-fixed boarding methods.

Window left safe, secure and weather protected, ready for replacement glazing.

Today, we replaced four windows and a uPVC door panel following an unexpected attack that caused damage to the property. We used K Glass, a high-performance, energy-efficient glass designed to improve thermal insulation, reduce heat loss, and help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature while allowing natural light to enter the property.
