A good example of local businesses working together and making use of the right equipment for the job.

On this first site, there was no vehicle access, so we used our portable petrol winch to help Nathan winch dangerous roadside trees away from the road. However, on sites where access allows, we’re able to utilise Nathans forestry tractor and heavy-duty winching equipment for this Ash Dieback woodland project.

Having a range of equipment and working alongside other local contractors means we can adapt to each job and deliver the best results safely and efficiently. 🌲💪

We recently made the most of a wet and miserable June day to keep progress moving well on this garden clearance site, with the conditions helping to keep our fire controlled while we worked through a large-scale clearance.

We are currently tackling a heavily invasive stand of bamboo, clearing it to reinstate the former garden and create a blank canvas for the customers.

Using our skid steer alongside manual clearance, we were able to strip the site back efficiently and deal with the large volume of arisings from the site. In situations like this, where it is appropriate and permitted, a bonfire can sometimes be the most practical and efficient way to dispose of this highly invasive material.

Helping our customer get their garden ready to open under the National Garden Scheme.

This mature Chestnut had developed two co-dominant stems from approximately 15ft, with the union showing signs of stress due to the weight and pressure being placed upon it.

To help alleviate this, we carried out a sympathetic crown reduction of approximately 2–3m throughout the canopy, reducing the load on the weak union. We also shortened several over-extended branches to improve the tree’s overall balance and shape.

These subtle, carefully considered adjustments should help reduce future stress on the union and give this impressive mature tree the best possible chance of being retained for many years to come.

It’s not just large hedges that we can sort out, we are also happy to tidy up smaller ones, too.

We carried out an extensive nesting bird check prior to starting and throughout the job, just incase.

All waste was removed, leaving the garden nice and tidy.

We recently carried out some well needed maintenance to our customers Beech hedge, with the help of our specialist equipment.

Although it doesn’t look it from this angle, we needed the full outreach from our cherry picker, as the hedge was approximately 40ft wide!
