Friday. The end of another working week.

For many of us, today means finishing work, heading home, and looking forward to the weekend with our families and loved ones.

But 25 years ago today, millions of people’s ordinary working day changed forever.

As we go about our day, we take a moment to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families left behind, and the countless people who showed incredible courage and selflessness in the face of unimaginable events.

Twenty-five years on, we remember the people, the heroes and the families whose lives were changed forever.

Today, more than ever, let’s appreciate the simple things — getting home safely, being with the people we love, and never taking an ordinary day for granted.

🕊️ 25 years on. We remember. We honour. We will never forget.

📋 Planning, prioritising & keeping things moving! 🦆

A little behind-the-scenes shot of Gemma and Kirstie in one of our production planning meetings — clearly there were some serious decisions being made! 😂 The concentration!!!

Gemma’s role is focused on our Isle of Wight sites, coordinating the repairs, keeping an eye on what’s coming up and make sure everything stays on track. Gemma deals with the day to day needs of our island repairs and ensures the island engineers are organised and prepared for what the week has in store.

These regular catch-ups are such an important part of what happens behind the scenes at Horsler Lifts — reviewing jobs, prioritising workloads, planning ahead and making sure our engineers and customers have everything they need.

Because great service doesn’t just happen out on site… there’s a whole lot of planning going on back at HQ too! 💛

🦆 WHY DO WE GIVE A DUCK?

It’s a question we get asked… and there’s actually a little more behind our ducks than just making people smile. 💛

At Horsler Lifts, giving a duck is part of who we are.

It means we care about the job we do.
It means we care about the people we do it for.
It means going the extra mile, picking up the phone, finding a solution and never treating anyone as just another customer.

We wanted something that represented the kind of company we are — professional, approachable, a little bit different and, above all, one that genuinely cares.

So yes, we have ducks in our office.
We have ducks in our branding.
We even have a machine FULL of ducks… 😂🦆

But behind the fun is a very simple message:

It's a terrific Tuesday for Team H and a new week can only mean one thing....a new modernisation project🦸‍♂️

After successful testing of our project in Eastbourne, yesterday our refurbishment team ventured to Evesham to commence with our next project within a residential setting🙌
This is a slightly larger project than previous as we are installing a new Hydroelite Veni and hydraulic cylinder with rupture valve, along with new oil, main hose and new oil leakage return kit.

As with most of our projects, we are also installing new LED shaft lighting, VVVF car door operator, upgraded car and landing fixtures, and positioning new safety signage throughout the installation💪

This lift is definitely in need of some TLC and we are super excited to see the transformation🤩 Take a look at the existing equipment below!

Monday Motivation - Our Office Team ❤️💪🏻

It takes a team to keep everything moving behind the scenes at Horsler Lift Services — and here are a few of the faces making it happen every day!

Karen – Office Manager
Keeping the office organised, the team supported and generally making sure everything is where it needs to be!

Amy – Project Supervisor
Working to ensure our projects are kept on track, coordinating all the moving parts and making sure nothing gets missed.

Duncan – Operations Support
Supporting the operational side of the business and helping everything run smoothly between the office and out in the field.

Kirstie – Managing Director
Keeping an eye on the bigger picture, driving the business forward and probably coming up with another idea before we’ve finished the last one! 🤣

Gemma – Service Coordinator
At the heart of our service department, coordinating engineers, customers and call-outs and keeping those diaries moving.

Different roles, different strengths, but one team — all working towards the same goal: great service and happy customers. 💙

Happy Fri-YAY - What a week🥳👊

As the first working week of September draws to a close, so does our latest modernisation project🙌

Our team have worked super efficiently and all available hours to complete this project ahead of use restarting next week!
In under one week, we have installed a new Hydroelite Veni with hydraulic oil, main hose, ram seal, and pipe rupture valve.

Alongside the main components, the lift and landings have had a facelift with replacement car operating panel, landing push stations and landing indicators💪

We are returning on Monday to assist with final testing, before handing the lift over to one happy customer - take a look at our completion photos below🤩

Monday brings the next project - where could we be heading this time🤭

We thought it was about time we introduced you to a few of the faces behind Horsler Lifts… because whilst the lifts might be what we do, it’s the people who make the business ❤️

👨🏻‍🔧 Andy – Lead Engineer

Andy is the Lead Engineer in this pairing and brings lots of experience to the team. Andy is proactive, has a can do attitude and always with a smile 😁

We can always rely on him to make sure the job is done properly and our customers are looked after.

👨🏻‍🔧 Joe – Engineer’s Assistant

And then there’s Joe, working alongside Andy and learning well.

Joe is building his experience every day, getting stuck into the practical side of the job and developing the skills that will hopefully see him work towards a future engineer role in his own right.

👩🏼 And me…

Well, I’m usually somewhere in the middle of it all! 😂

Running the business, looking after customers, supporting the team, making sure everything keeps moving… and occasionally remembering that I should probably stop working long enough to have my photograph taken! 🤣

But honestly, this is what Horsler Lifts is about.

Different people. Different strengths. One team.

And we’re incredibly proud of the people behind the Horsler name. 💙

Wonderful Wednesdays🤩

The first week of September brings continuation of a new modernisation project at an educational facility in Eastbourne!
Last week, one of our teams attended site to commence with the hydraulic components on this project, ahead of our return to site yesterday to continue💪

We are well underway with installation of a new Hydroelite Veni with hydraulic components including oil, main hose, ram seal, and pipe rupture valve.
The lift and landings are also receiving some upgrades with replacement car operating panel, landing push stations and landing indicators😍

This is another project that has been proposed with a super efficient program to return the lift to service for continued use in the new term🙌👊
