Haven’t done any box making in a while but decided to make this one for my mums 70th birthday. She has never owned a proper jewellery box and her collection of earrings have just been kept in a bowl. Now they can go in the top drawer organisers. Made from black walnut, tulipwood and spalted beech with red cardinal flocking for the drawer linings. Thank you to for the bandsaw box book and design.

That’s a wrap for this stage and what a nice transformation. So many people passing by stopped and gave me such lovely and positive comments about the new cases/casements.

The first set of new Sapele (hardwood) flush casements fitted, to a listed 15th century thatched cottage. You’ll see in the first photo, what was there before. It’s nice to get rid of the nasty 1970’s “Stormproof” garbage. This is the first frame of 3 to go in. All draught/weather proofed and traditional linseed putty glazed and linseed paint.

A few little joinery items made for the lovely owners and staff of my local eatery . A temporary countertop (the darker section), to fill the gap left from an old counter fridge. The panel beneath was also made and painted to match the existing panels. Then a nice little gate, made in a stable door style.

A new case and top hung casement, for a neighbours bathroom, to replace the severely rotten old one. This has been made to go from single glazing to slimline double glazed units so no more condensation. A new timber window board made and fitted too.
Painted using traditional linseed oil based paint and not inferior modern plastic paint. No modern materials such as expanding foams, silicones, cement based mortars are used, only traditional materials and techniques that have lasted for centuries.

Just a big thank you to Chris at Instinct Signs for the amazing Van signage, over the moon. To my talented Cousin DarrenRoss for his dot art for my logo and my lovely neighbour and talented designer Pippy Louey at Spiritda for putting all of the designs together.
