Remedial works carried out at a rental property in ipswich, following a recent E.I.C.R inspection. ⚡️

-Over 30 downlights installed, replacing old non fire rated fittings. 💡

-Old out of date smoke alarms replaced, with new Aico RF interlinked devices. 💨

-New consumer unit and upgraded earth electrode installed to keep the workshop at the end of the garden compliant. 🌎

-Old broken sockets and exposed connections all rectified to make the overall installation safe. ✅️

-All relevant certification issued and another happy customer. 📜

Started another kitchen for a lovely couple out in Charsfield today.

Managed to squeeze this one in so the customer could get a temporary kitchen back up and running for the weekend.

Old sockets relocated and made safe, existing oven supply temporarily connected back in to give them somewhere to cook and new sockets chased and wired so the base units can start to be installed tomorrow!

Lots of work to do in this lovely old cottage including a new utility room, upgrading the current consumer units and finishing off the kitchen! Hopefully more photos to follow.

A few photos of a recent refurbishment that took place on this rental property.

Think i found the problem! 😱

Went to replace an old extractor fan to find that the hole didnt go anywhere.
Obviously the previous person gave up half way through!

Core hole drilled (all the way through the wall this time 🤣) and new fan installed. That should finally sort out the damp issues in the bathroom. One happy customer!

Out with the old and in with the new!

Changed two consumer units today for a customer in kesgrave. On peak and off peak as the property used storage heaters as its main source of heating.

Ive temporarily connected these up as after an inspection of the property, old rubber cable with no earth, was found to still be in use on some circuits (from the 1950's) .

A partial rewire will follow to make sure everything is safe and up to current regulations.

Sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of months. Ive been very busy and I always forget to take photos!!!!

Back in ramsholt today to start 2nd fixing now that the kitchen has progressed. Always, good to see the sockets and lights starting to go on!

Bathroom is well on the way now also. Lots of bits still to but this job is definitely getting there.

Another busy week so far!! Ive been second fixing an extension down in martlesham. A double cartlodge has been converted...

Another busy week so far!!

Ive been second fixing an extension down in martlesham. A double cartlodge has been converted into a fantastic master bedroom and ensuite. Aswell as an additional bedroom being added. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the before pictures so the afters will have to do 🤣

L.E.D strip has been added into the bathroom niches for that little extra touch, smart rointe electric heaters have been installed which look really good. Extra smoke detection and Downlights throughout the hallway and bedrooms with some client supplied pendants for either side of the bed for a bit of subtle lighting.

All of the original underfloor heating thermostats have been upgraded for new digital, programmable stats that can control each rooms heating individually.

The customer recently had an air source heat pump installed by another company and discovered that the heating wasnt switching on and off correctly in certain zones. I was asked to have a look and I found the problem and rectified it for them whilst I was there.

Finished the day with a bit of testing to make sure everything was safe and compliant.

A few finishing touches still left to do, but it won't be long before the new space can be fully enjoyed!!

Some ongoing works at a lovely old cottage in ramsholt. New kitchen going in, all old wiring stripped out and started again from fresh. New outside lighting and power aswell as resupplying an existing external oil boiler, ready for SS Heating Services to get back up and running! Brand new ground mount solar system installed by Doyle Electrical Services Ltd and lots more internal works, including upgrading an old consumer unit.
