Carrying out an EICR on a rental property, they had a fire here last night I’m guessing due to an over rated lamp in a wall light. The fitting is completely melted and it caught fire to the walls and floor. Thankfully no one hurt. Why oh why am I still finding fuse boards like this in rental properties 😩😩

What is Fixed Wire Testing and is it a legal requirement?

Fixed Wire Testing is the testing of the electrical installations within a building to ensure they are safe & compliant.

Employers are legally required to ensure, as far as is reasonably practical, the health, safety and welfare of their employees. Fixed wire testing is a crucial part of that requirement.
