⚡ New Shed Distribution Board & Sump Pump Supply ⚡

A recent job completed installing a new distribution board in a shed, providing power for the lighting, sockets and an external socket.

A dedicated supply was also installed for the sump pump and control equipment, with the new board providing individual RCBO protection for the circuits and spare capacity for future additions.

Everything was fully inspected, tested and certified on completion.

Another electrical installation brought up to a safe standard today.

This job was carried out at a local motel, where I completed an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). During the inspection, a consumer unit (distribution board) was identified as requiring replacement, so I carried out the necessary remedial work and installed a new unit.

Electrical inspections are essential for identifying hidden faults, ensuring compliance with current regulations, and keeping both people and property safe.

Another bathroom ventilation upgrade completed today.

The existing extractor fan was an old ceiling-mounted unit located in the corner of the bathroom, away from the shower area, making it ineffective at removing moisture where it was most needed.

I removed the old fan and installed a new inline extractor fan in the loft space. I then cored a new extraction point directly above the shower and fitted a grill, allowing moisture to be extracted far more efficiently.
I also replaced a faulty shaver socket for the customer.

This bathroom was suffering from mould growth on the walls and ceiling, which is often a sign of inadequate ventilation. With the new inline fan positioned correctly, I'm confident this upgrade will make a significant difference and help prevent further damp and mould issues.
