G W Wilson & Sons – Relief HGV Driver Wanted.

Experienced HGV driver wanted for flexible relief work, mainly Fridays and weekends covering holidays, sickness, and busy periods. Must hold a valid HGV licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card. MPQC card a bonus. Competitive pay and flexible shifts available.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Ensure compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and professionalism
Requirements:
• Valid HGV Class 1
• Experience with tipper trailers a benefit though training can be given
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• A good driving record and knowledge of transport regulations
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional early starts or weekends
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Last trip of the year with the swather has taken us to Welshpool to swath a crop of h**p, this crop is being grown as a trial for its use in production of bio char by Woodtek Engineering, as a first for us it took a little time (and un tangling!) but eventually got it Swathing’s well, we found the best way in the tall crop was to cut it twice once at full height then on the floor, big thank you to the lads at Woodtek for a very interesting couple of days
