At McGovern Crane Hire we are no stranger to 3D Job Planning, having invested into the CRANIMAX GmbH many years ago we have been able to supply high quality 2D and 3D AutoCad plans to our customers.

This has allowed us to plan works that simply would not be possible without 3D Capabilities, cranimax_official has enabled us to not only plan works to the MM but also detail visual aids to both clients and operatives onsite.

But times do change and the next 'big thing' is being able to utilise the impressive capabilities of modern drones by capturing 'real life' 3D Environments and then utilising this data to create photo realistic plans to assist onsite site works.

There's still a big requirement for in-depth and accurate 2D CAD Plans but along with these new capabilities we are very excited to see what the future holds for modern day job lift planning.

Thankyou to CRANIMAX GmbH for the trail run of the new OBJ Import features, an impressive feature for sure ! Looking forward to putting it through its paces as this is just day 1 !

Over 100 years old and unfortunately the time has come to remove the “Green Bridge” which was a local heritage landmark in Long Eaton.

Weighing in at approximately 25te the main span was removed in a single piece to make way for a new bridge which will be installed later this year.

Although it’s quite a shame to see this grand piece of classic engineering being demolished the local authorities have deemed the bridge no longer fit for purpose and thus be replaced with a new impressive suspension arch structure which will be installed later this year.

The Liebherr Mobile and Crawler Cranes LTM1250-5.1 proving once again that this isn’t just any 5 Axle 250te mobile crane, it’s the most powerful 5 Axle crane on the market !

A lift scenario that would be normally reserved for the 6 Axle 300te class machines, with even some brands capacity being less then the LTM1250-5.1 for this particular load case.

The benefits of this crane are vast, a much more compact chassis and crane footprint over 6 Adle machines but with duties that rival and in some cases surpass the 300te class machines and coupled with the TNZF Hydraulic Luffing Jib the reach and capabilities can be that of much larger conventional Luffing JIb class cranes.
