Another smart dry-verge installation completed by Roofs Are Us 🔨🏠

The existing mortar verge was securely clad over using a modern black dry-verge system. A new roofing batten was screwed and plugged directly into the brickwork, providing a strong and reliable anchor point for the verge caps.

Another chimney restoration completed in Long Eaton 🧱

The old, deteriorated mortar joints were carefully raked out before the chimney was fully repointed using an NHL 3.5 traditional heritage lime mix. This breathable mortar is well suited to older brickwork and provides a strong, sympathetic finish.

The badly cracked and failing flaunching was completely removed, exposing the chimney top beneath. Loose brickwork was made secure before new flaunching was formed with smooth, weathered falls to direct rainwater away and protect the chimney from further water ingress.

A huge transformation, restoring both the appearance and weather resistance of the chimney.

Another quality roofing project completed! 🏠☀️

🏠 Chimney Restoration Completed

Another substantial chimney restoration completed by Roofs Are Us.

The existing flaunching had badly deteriorated and was carefully removed before the chimney was prepared and completely re-flaunched with a strong sand and cement mix, creating the correct falls to shed rainwater away from the chimney pots.

We also fitted new chimney cowls, securely strapped to the existing pots, along with a new terracotta chimney pot to replace the damaged/missing pot.

A big improvement and a much more secure, weather-resistant finish. 👌
