🦆 A little tip from Mallard Fencing! 🦆

Bought new timber fence panels from us? Don’t be too quick to get the paintbrush out! 🎨

All of our timber fence panels have some form of protective treatment applied to them, so we recommend waiting a minimum of 6 months before painting, staining or applying any additional coating.

This gives the timber time to naturally dry, season and acclimatise. Applying another treatment too soon can trap moisture within the timber and may cause panels to warp, twist or distort.

⚠️ Please remember, painting or treating your panels within the first 6 months may invalidate our manufacturing guarantee where any warping or distortion occurs.

Give your new fence a little time to settle first — it’ll be worth the wait! 🌳🏡

☀️🌧️ SUNSHINE? RAIN? HEATWAVE? EL NIÑO? WHO KNOWS… 😂

Honestly, this weather has us more confused than anything at the minute!

One day the sun’s shining and we’re being told there could be another heatwave in September ☀️… the next it’s pouring down 🌧️… and then there’s talk of El Niño bringing us a bad winter. 🥶

At this point, we’ve given up trying to guess. 😂

What we DO know is that here at Mallard Fencing NW Ltd, we’re out there come rain or shine, fitting fences every day. 💪🦆

Whether it’s a shiny new fence to make the most of your garden while the sun decides to stick around ☀️🌿, or replacing that slightly questionable fence that you know isn’t surviving the first proper winter storm… we’ve got you covered. 👀💨

Because let’s face it — we’re in the North West. There’s bound to be at least one or two “named storms” waiting for us this winter! 😂

🦆 EXCUSE US FOR BEING MISSING IN ACTION…

We promise we haven’t disappeared — summer at Mallard Fencing NW Ltd has just been an absolute whirlwind! 😅

Between building site projects, school projects, commercial works, trade customers, new businesses AND long-standing businesses now stocking our fencing panels, plus all our lovely new private customers and, of course, our OG customers who keep coming back for more… social media has taken a slight back seat. 👀

But we’re still here. Still fencing. Still covered in sawdust. 😂🪚

And speaking of our OG customers… one of our lovely repeat customers recently asked us back to give her garage area a bit of a glow-up. ✨

We replaced all the tired timber around the garage using Tanalised 4x1 timber, instantly making the whole area look fresh, clean and smart again.

Then came the finishing touch… 😍

🚪 A brand-new Castleboard gate, handmade by us on a FULL timber frame.

Yep… a proper full frame. You don’t see many gates made like that anymore! 👀

We might be biased, but just look at it. 🤌

In fact, I’m looking at this job thinking my own fencing might be getting a Castleboard upgrade this winter… 😉😂

If your garden, gate or fencing is looking like it could do with a little love, you know where we are!

📢 Apologies for the radio silence – we are still here! 👋

The last few months have been incredibly busy for the team at Mallard Fencing NW, and we’ve been rushed off our feet working for private clients, local schools, and commercial customers across the area. Thank you to everyone who has kept us so busy! 🙌

Today, one of our commercial teams is starting an exciting new project alongside a local builder on a new-build development. We’re looking forward to seeing the progress and sharing the results with you over the coming weeks. 🏗️

In the meantime, here are a few photos from a job we completed last week. We removed the old waney lap panels and concrete posts before installing brand-new composite fencing with matching composite posts.

This was a really enjoyable project to complete, and we think the finished result looks fantastic! ✨

If you’re considering upgrading your fencing, whether it’s for your home, school, or commercial premises, feel free to get in touch for a free quotation.

🚚 Important Update from Mallard Fencing NW Ltd

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing fuel crisis, we have had to make the difficult decision to slightly increase our delivery costs.

We’ve worked hard to keep our delivery charges the same over the past few years, but with rising fuel prices, we currently have no other option.

Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will review our pricing as things improve.

We really appreciate your continued support and understanding—it means a lot to us! 💚
