Good installation starts with the right guidance.

At Ecodeck, we provide dedicated installation guides across our product range to help you get the best from your grids.

Depending on the product, our guides cover important installation points including preparing the area, membranes, drainage, edging, levelling, connecting the grids and choosing the appropriate infill.

For example, our 40mm and 50mm grid guides recommend addressing drainage issues before installation and making sure materials are compacted and level for durability.

Our parking and ground reinforcement guides also explain how the grids should be laid, connected and filled, including the recommendation to use angular rather than rounded gravel.

A gravel car park needs to do more than look tidy on the day it's finished.

The surface needs to cope with vehicles moving, turning and parking on it while keeping the gravel under control.

For this car park project in York, we supplied our 50mm gravel grids across the parking area.

The grids reinforce the ground and give the gravel a cellular structure to sit within, helping to create a more stable and consistent parking surface.

With the appropriate permeable build-up, this type of system can also allow water to drain through the surface.

It's a good example of why the finished gravel is only one part of a car park. What's supporting it underneath matters just as much.
