Today we have have been out installing a customer supplied EM Alv EV charger in St Ives where we used dc 🇬🇧 ’s EV Ultra and a FuseBox EV consumer unit. While out we were contacted by a client who’s tumble dryer had melted the plug and socket so we replaced both and had it up and running again!

Most people don’t realise extension leads have limits 🔌‼️

A standard UK extension lead is rated at 13A (around 3kW total) — that’s roughly the same as a kettle on its own. Add an air fryer or heater into the mix and you’re generating heat in that cable even if nothing trips.

Overloading doesn’t always show immediate signs. If you’re relying on extension leads daily, it might simply mean you need more sockets installed.

Here we are working with a commercial client in their manufacturing facility ⚡️

They required some hard wired network points from their CCTV rack to the office. We also installed emergency lighting above their fire exit doors due to it being flagged in an inspection.

‼️As you can see in the last photo, unfortunately, not all installations are carried out to the same standard…

One of our latest projects - battery storage and consumer unit replacement!🔋🔌

We rerouted the consumer unit to a more usable location and installed a 10KW battery storage system.

Customer left satisfied with a new full RCBO consumer unit with Surge protection, battery storage pack and plenty of spare ways for the future heat pump and renovations! 🧡
