‼️FREE‼️day of exterior restoration work – still available
As a small family-run business based in Ramsey, we’re offering one full day of skilled exterior restoration work completely free of charge to a local homeowner who genuinely can’t afford essential maintenance.
This could include lime or cement repointing, brick repairs, chimney work, or other exterior jobs we can complete (or substantially progress) in a single day.
We will prioritise elderly or disabled homeowners wherever possible.
How to apply (or nominate someone):
Simply comment “interested” or send us a quick message. We’ll take it from there and ask for any further details we need.
You can also nominate someone else if you know a neighbour, relative, or friend who could use the help.
Please note we are a small family business fitting this in around our other work, so we kindly ask for a little patience with replies.
Thank you for supporting a local business — every follow and share helps us continue this work!

The hidden stage of every home renovation that makes or breaks the final paint job: proper wall sanding and surface prep.

Using an electric sander to grind down and smooth out imperfections ensures a glass-flat finish. It’s messy work, but getting the plaster level before finishing is the only way to get professional results.

Drop a comment if you're tackling any DIY home improvements this weekend!

Dealing with a wall that has a history of damp and watching ruined, cracked paint peel right off is the ultimate home renovation reality check. Tackling moisture damage and flaking layers means proper wall preparation is essential before you dive into any DIY home improvement or property maintenance project

Have you ever run into hidden damp issues behind your paint? Let me know how you handled it in the comments! 👇

A quick PSA: never go with the lowest quote on Facebook Marketplace unless you want your exterior wall looking like a crime scene 💀🧱

What started as a quick weekend project turned into the final boss of mortar stains. Every single brick looks like it got caught in a flour explosion.

Swipe through or drop a comment to tell me if this is salvageable or if I just need to start over from scratch! What’s the worst contractor experience you’ve ever had? 💬👇
