Not every room in a home needs to feel the same. At Carlton House, the dining space is open and made for gathering, while the lounge feels more enclosed and relaxed. The bedroom takes on a deeper, more private feel, with smaller moments such as the built-in window seat giving the home places to step away from the busier rooms. Different spaces for different parts of life, all within the same home.

Set on the outskirts of Huddersfield, this country manor brings together the warmth of local stone with a modern oak-framed party wing designed for entertaining. Reclaimed ashlar from the previous cottages was integrated into the entrance façade, tying the home to its surroundings.

The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area sits at the heart of the house, flowing into a formal lounge and study, while the party barn opens fully to a stone-flagged patio through corner sliding doors, creating a flexible indoor-outdoor space. The bullnosed Corian bar and joinery complement the interiors, with the master suite and two further bedrooms featuring fitted furniture, ensuite bathrooms, and tailored storage throughout.

The home was carefully designed to link all areas from oak framing and glazing to lighting, furniture, and flooring, creating a layout that works seamlessly for both family life and entertaining.

Set within the Yorkshire Dales, this home was designed to embrace its surroundings while creating a space suited to modern family life. The property was carefully remodelled with a new extension, open-plan kitchen, dining and living spaces, alongside more private areas including four bedrooms and a dedicated utility and boot room.

Natural stone and oak bring warmth throughout the interior, complementing the original character of the property while introducing considered details and bespoke fitted furniture designed by us. With views across the surrounding landscape and materials that reflect the area around it, the home feels connected to both its setting and the way it is lived in.

Natural light plays a key role throughout this home, with roof glazing bringing daylight into the kitchen, dining and living areas while creating a stronger connection between each part of the home.

In Huddersfield, we transformed this property through partial demolition, two extensions, and a full renovation. The ground floor now flows from the kitchen into the dining and living spaces, opening into the orangery, while a separate lounge, cinema room, and utility areas support day‑to‑day life. Upstairs, four bedrooms with en-suites and a master suite have been designed to feel comfortable and practical. We planned and built the full interior scheme, including all fitted furniture and bespoke joinery, so every space works together. Using traditional Yorkshire sandstone and carefully chosen materials keeps the home rooted in its surroundings while giving it warmth, detail, and cohesion throughout.
