An Update from Virtual Resolution

After 17 incredible years as Virtual Resolution, we’re excited to share the next chapter of our journey with you.

As the CGI industry continues to evolve — particularly through advances in AI, real-time technology, and new workflows — we’ve taken the opportunity to refine our business structure to better reflect how we work today and where we’re heading next.

As some of you may already be aware, Virtual Resolution has been operating as VR Studios Ltd Trading As Virtual Resolution under the direction of Tim Power and John Hales for some time.

As part of this evolution:

Virtual Resolution will now transition over the next few months and operate solely as VR Studios Ltd, under the continued direction of Tim Power.

John Hales will be operating a new independent company from his base in Scotland.

Importantly, while our name and structure are evolving, everything else remains the same:

The same trusted team working on your projects.
The same expertise, standards, and values.
The same commitment to quality, reliability, and delivery.
The same infrastructure, facilities, and workflows.
The same point of contact

This evolution allows us to expand our capabilities, embrace emerging technologies, and continue delivering forward-thinking visualisation solutions for our clients.

You remain very much in safe hands — now under a refreshed structure that better represents our ambitions and the exciting opportunities ahead.

Seeing really is believing! ✨
We’ve been waiting to share this virtual tour for some time.

Treehouse Manchester has been open for a while, but we have been sitting on the visuals for their newly opened restaurants and bars, Sister Moon, The Nest and The Hideout on the 13th and 14th floors of the hotel.

VR created this 360 CG VR tour to not only help inform the design and client sign-off process, but to get the whole team on board with what this space was going to feel like.

It’s one of our favourite schemes so far and we can’t wait to visit in the coming weeks!

#11 | I know we said 10, but here are our final thoughts 🙂

Artificial intelligence is transforming architectural visualisation, and we believe at VR that it’s something to embrace. We see AI as another creative tool within a much larger process.

As an industry, we think we’ll thrive not by resisting change but by combining new technology with decades of professional experience.

AI may be able to generate images, but our experience is what gives those images credibility and our clients confidence.

Whether imagery originates from traditional CGI, AI generation or a combination of both, at VR we’re here to provide confidence in the final result.

Here’s what we can do for you:

#10 | The future isn’t AI or traditional CGI

After spending the last year exploring AI at VR, we’ve reached one conclusion.
The future isn’t AI, and it’s not traditional CGI either. It belongs to arch vis businesses that know how to combine both.

It’s inevitable that technology will keep evolving, but that doesn’t mean that trust, experience and professional judgement will become less important.
