So Rachel did a thing...
Completed her 7 hour composite practical exam...over 2 days Rachel had to install 5 circuits, steel trunking, steel conduit, pvc conduit, 3 way lighting system, 20A socket radial, smoke alarm, a 16A commando socket along with a heating system.
At times, she doubted herself-I never did, and neither did her tutor/s.
This practical assessment also included her needing to do an R1 and R2 (continuity of the CPC and proving Polarity) test as well as an Ir (insulation resistance).
Safe to say tears were shed, but more happy tears then overwhelmed tears (which is progress in itself! 🤣) If you know Rach, she tends to let pressure get to her, for no reason at all! She is perfectly capable, but lack self confidence in tasks such as this.
Rach has come on leaps and bounds in the two years of her level 3 and it's these small victories which will help her see her capabilities.
