Another new Baxi Main fitted today. This installation replaced an old Baxi boiler that had multiple faults, including a failed flue seal. This fault meant the boiler was producing high levels of carbon monoxide, which could have led to fatal consequences for the occupants if it hadn’t been made safe and the gas supply capped.
Thankfully, the issues were identified during a call-out to investigate a water leak from the boiler.
During the installation, the system was fully cold-flushed and chemically cleaned, and it is now permanently protected by a MagnaClean filter.
Heating is controlled by Hive heating controls.
As you can see, regular servicing and safety checks of gas appliances are extremely important.
