A trio of EV charger installs from the past few weeks. Really been enjoying installing these units - they’re well made, easy to install / commission, and look great.

1 - Neptune Blue + Walnut
2 - Rose Gold + Bronze
3 - Light Grey + Black

Which colour combo do you prefer?

Last year saw some big changes at Craft Electrics - incorporation as a limited company, VAT registration, and MCS accreditation for solar PV and battery storage 🎉

These photos are of the installation I completed on my own property for the MCS assessment. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed being up on the roof doing the work - as an avid rock climber it’s sort of a home away from home 🙂

I’m looking forward to sharing content from another couple of installs in the near future. And the order book is officially open for 2026 - get in touch if you’d like to see how solar and battery storage could work for you 🌞🔋

On a long cable run like this I wish I had a masonry nailer, but D-safe fixings are the next best thing and definitely saved me a lot of time.

2026 is pretty busy so far, juggling a few big jobs and squeezing in other smaller ones like this around the edges. Looking forwards to formally opening the doors to renewables work later on this year 🤞

My first Quartz install from last year. Nice eco friendly packaging, good build quality, and a smart looking charger. A little bit fiddly from an installation perspective but I’m sure the next one will be easier.

I bought myself a small diameter core drill bit after watching a post and it worked a dream. Zero brick blow out 👌

Just another installation but this time with a new board. I never thought I would get so excited about grommet strip, but the new stuff is such a good upgrade 😍 And the 1-mod SPD is pretty cool too 😎

Another install from a few months back. I had a few issues with commissioning after a new update 🤔 Technical support were on hand to troubleshoot though - one wiring loom later and all issues resolved 👍

My New Year’s resolution of posting went completely down the pan 🤣 Oh well, better to be too busy than not busy enough!

First installation a couple of weeks ago. The customer had an existing EV charger but had issues with their home battery discharging into the car. The myenergi helpdesk were super helpful in confirming that the same CT clamp setup to work around this worked for the glo as well as the zappi. All up and running and no issues so far 🤞

Installation has been really well thought out and easier than the OG zappi in my opinion. Plus they are a lot sleeker in design. Looking forward to installing a few more of these in the future.

Some work from a few months ago. So many things wrong with this, but at least they made off the gland fairly well… no boot mind, but then it would have been hard to connect up the CPC of the twin and earth… 😬

A nice little job from a couple of weeks back - installing two new pendant lights with independent switching from the existing downlights. The client didn’t want their walls chasing so I used some switches - I’ve always found these to be easy to install and commission.

Back at it in the New Year with cruisy consumer unit change - plenty of space, accessible board, slack on the cables and a cup of tea ☺️ I wish they were all like this!

And if you were wondering what the tied cord is for, it’s running through some rear entry fire grommets ready for planned additions in the future.
